Guy Ritchie’s The Gentleman has season 2 confirmed with new cast
As a seasoned gamer of both the small and big screen, I can confidently say that the news of The Gentlemen’s return for a second season has sent waves of excitement coursing through my veins! Having grown up on Guy Ritchie’s signature blend of action, humor, and unapologetic British charm, this series truly harks back to his golden days.
Guy Ritchie’s Netflix series The Gentlemen has been renewed for a second season.
Actors Theo James and Kaya Scodelario are set to reprise their roles as main characters Eddie Horniman and Susie Glass. Additionally, Daniel Ings will return as Eddie’s brother Freddy, who stands out from season one due to his drug-induced meltdown while in a chicken costume.
According to Variety’s recent report, the announcements regarding the new cast members are imminent, and it’s planned that filming will take place next year.
The UK content VP for Netflix told the publication: “With its gun-toting chickens and drug-dealing Dukes, The Gentlemen was a huge hit with audiences in 2024. Not really a surprise as Guy Ritchie remains one of the industry’s most iconic creators telling authentically British stories with his signature swagger, grit and wit.
“We’re overjoyed that the series is coming back for another season on Netflix! We can hardly contain our excitement to find out how the clash between high society and illegal funds unfolds again.”
The initial season of “The Gentlemen” was met with positive reviews after it unveiled the turbulent tale of a man who unexpectedly inherits an estate, which turns out to be the headquarters of a drug empire.
According to Digital Spy’s assessment, this series is remarkably similar to Guy Ritchie’s iconic style from movies like Snatch, Lock, Stock, and RocknRolla, which he is renowned for.
…”In much the same way as his strongest collaborative projects, it’s the talented native actors portraying eccentric roles that make you want to rewatch.”
You can currently stream the first season of “The Gentlemen” on Netflix. However, if you’d like to watch the 2019 film that the series is adapted from, you’ll need to buy it digitally or in DVD format.
