The case of Prime Video‘s most-watched TV show has been solved.
Prime Video has kicked off the year with several popular shows, including new releases like 56 Days and returning favorites like Cross. One standout series is Young Sherlock, a new crime drama from Guy Ritchie that reimagines the early adventures of the famous detective, with Hero Fiennes Tiffin in the lead role.
The TV series Young Sherlock Holmes is inspired by the books of the same name written by Andrew Lane. All eight episodes of the show premiered on Prime Video on March 4th. It quickly became the most popular show on the streaming platform and stayed there for a while, but it has now been surpassed by another series in the rankings.
According to FlixPatrol, Invincible is currently the most popular TV show on Prime Video around the world. This adult animated series is a big hit for the streaming service. Invincible first launched in 2021, and the fourth season premiered on March 18th with its first three episodes. New episodes will be released weekly until April 22nd.
Following the successful launch of Invincible, Young Sherlock has become the second most popular TV show on Prime Video worldwide. This means several other well-known Prime Video series are now ranking lower. Shows like Scarpetta starring Nicole Kidman, the returning series Cross, the thriller 56 Days, and the hit sci-fi show Fallout all currently trail behind Invincible and Young Sherlock on the platform’s global charts.
The animated series Invincible is incredibly popular worldwide, currently trending in 51 countries! It’s reached the #1 spot on Prime Video in 28 countries, including Australia, Brazil, and Ireland. Here in the United States, Invincible is currently the most-watched show on the streaming platform.
The animated series Invincible has quickly become a hit in the US, surpassing other shows like Deadloch, Young Sherlock, and Scarpetta. Prime Video was looking for a new show to follow up the success of Young Sherlock, which received a strong 83% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. Invincible delivered, with its fourth season achieving a perfect 100% critics’ score – a rare accomplishment.
The animated series currently boasts an impressive 99% critics’ score after four seasons. With dozens of issues from the original Robert Kirkman comic books still to be adapted, Invincible is far from over. Considering how quickly season four has outperformed Young Sherlock – even with only three episodes released – Invincible is expected to remain a top performer on Prime Video for the foreseeable future.
