Guy Ritchie is bringing back fan favorites Vinnie Jones and Jason Statham for his latest gangster film, Viva La Madness.
The actors, a former footballer aged 60 and a famous Hollywood star aged 58, are working together again. They previously starred in director Guy’s 2000 film, Snatch.
Reports say filming will begin in the next few weeks, and Vinnie has joined the cast.
Jason will play the role that Daniel Craig popularized in Matthew Vaughn’s 2004 film, Layer Cake.
Now writer JJ Connolly is adapting his second novel, for film.
According to The Sun, ‘Viva La Madness’ is a follow-up to J.J. Connolly’s ‘Layer Cake,’ but it will be a separate movie not connected to any potential future installments.

Guy is excited to lead the project again, and with Jason and Vinnie joining the team, the final result promises to be amazing.
This project really captures a classic British spirit. It’s going to be energetic, quick-paced, and proudly celebrate everything British. Jason and Vinnie have fantastic chemistry on screen, and the whole film crew was excited when Vinnie joined the cast.
Daily Mail has contacted Vinnie’s representatives for comment.
Details about what happens in ‘Viva La Madness’ haven’t been released yet, but the story will continue from where we left off with X, a drug dealer in London, played by Jason.
After leaving his life of crime behind, X started fresh in the Caribbean. However, his peaceful new life is disrupted when two British gangsters show up and cause problems.
Since 1998, Vinnie has been in almost 100 movies. His career started when his friend Guy Ritchie gave him the role of a tough debt collector in the film Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
The former footballer is enjoying a new period of success and recognition, a remarkable turnaround after facing significant personal challenges. He overcame cancer, battled alcoholism, and mourned the loss of his wife, Tanya, who sadly passed away in 2019 after 25 years of marriage.

He previously stated that losing Tanya was the most devastating experience for him, her family, and friends, and he hopes her memory will inspire positive change.
In the year’s following his wife’s death he did not appear in any films or scripts.
But Vinnie has since made a return to the screen as part of The Gentlemen’s main cast.
This series was created for Netflix as a follow-up to the 2019 movie of the same name, and was also directed by the movie’s director, Guy Ritchie.
The series also stars Theo James, Kaya Scodelario, and comedian Peter Serafinowicz.
In September, Vinnie was seen filming his role as Geoffrey Seacombe, the longtime gamekeeper at Halstead Manor, for the second season of the show.
