As a dedicated follower of Belinda Carlisle’s enchanting career spanning over four decades, I can’t help but marvel at her timeless allure and unyielding spirit. The sight of her striding through Sydney airport, radiating youthfulness at 66 years old, is a testament to her enduring charm and resilience in the ever-changing world of music.
66-year-old iconic ’80s musician was recently seen at Sydney Airport, appearing remarkably young for his age.
On Saturday, Belinda Carlisle, renowned for her hit “Heaven Is A Place On Earth,” captured attention as she confidently walked through the terminal, clad entirely in black attire.
Carlisle, known for being the frontwoman of the renowned band The Go-Go’s, opted for a combination of dark pants and a black sweater, complementing it with flat-sole footwear.
She wore her straight, strawberry blonde tresses loose and cascading across her shoulders.
In the “Our Lips Are Sealed” song, the singer adorned herself with gold hoop earrings, multiple chunky bracelets, and a spacious leopard-patterned handbag.
Carlisle kicks off their Australian tour, starting in Perth on a Wednesday, followed by scheduled visits to New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland.
Her tour concludes on October 6 in Brisbane.
The sighting comes after Carlisle opened up about being an ‘older singer’.

In an interview with People last year, Belinda spoke about facing ageism in the music industry.
She noted before embarking on the US segment of her Decades tour, ‘Now that I’m an older singer, I need to put in a lot more preparation.’ Previously, she used to take her singing abilities for granted, but that’s definitely not the case now.
‘I’m just really lucky that I’m still out there doing it, but I have to take care,’ she continued.
She mentioned that while commuting, she carries along three humidifiers and follows specific routines to maintain her vocal health during work.

For more than twenty years, the Grammy-nominated artist has journeyed across the globe alongside her partner, Morgan Mason.
She shared that encountering ageism within the music industry had an impact on her choice to step away from her profession temporarily.
She said, “My record label let me go when I turned forty, and singing is pretty much all I’m skilled at.
She reminisced, ‘Indeed, I felt mortified and terrified in that moment. Yet, a thought crossed my mind: “Who exactly am I?” It seemed as if the most intriguing chapter of my life had begun – I’ve always seen myself through my actions, so I knew there was more to discover.’
‘What I thought at first was a disaster ended up being a huge gift,’ she said about the journey.
Approximately three months ago, Carlisle got back into pop music and launched her fresh EP called “Kismet” – a highly praised, five-track partnership with renowned songwriter Diane Warren – on May 12th.
