He’s a popular TV host who was a favorite among viewers in the 1990s and early 2000s.
I first discovered him on Triple M radio, and I was thrilled when he moved to television in 1994! He was such a natural hosting ‘Pot Of Gold’ on Channel 10 – a really likable guy who always seemed genuinely happy to be there.
From 1997 to 1998, he worked as a sports reporter for the Nine Network. He then returned to radio broadcasting, continuing until 2000.
He hosted an afternoon drive show with Lavinia Nixon on Melbourne’s TTFM, now known as KIIS 101.1.
He was a regular on the breakfast show Good Morning Australia on Channel Ten, but in 2005, he moved to Channel Nine to host the popular game show Temptation.
He also appeared on the Channel 10 talk show The Circle and co-hosted House Of Wellness on Channel Seven.
Do you know who it is? That’s right, it’s none other than Ed Phillips.
Ed ‘Laughin’ Ed’ Phillips, 59, who gained popularity on Triple M radio, seemed happy while enjoying what appeared to be a romantic date on a Sydney beach.
Ed was accompanied by a blonde woman who looked remarkably like his former girlfriend, Jaynie Seal, a presenter for Sky News.
The couple looked chuffed to be sharing the day as they arrived at Shark Beach, in Vaucluse.
I nearly lost it when I saw them! Ed was walking with this girl, and he had a little takeaway coffee, so cute! But she… she was carrying this huge orange juice. Honestly, it was the detail that really got me. Like, a massive orange juice! I just… I noticed, okay?
Ed dressed casually for the outing, wearing a dark blue tank top, matching board shorts, and brown leather sandals.
His friend looked ready for summer in a sleeveless top and skirt decorated with palm trees, and a big sun hat.
Ed found a place to put his towel and then took off his shirt, showing off his fit, but not overly muscular, physique with a few small tattoos.
His beach date meanwhile flaunted her bronzed form in a palm tree-patterned two-piece bikini.
The skimpy swimwear showed off her décolletage, as well as her tanned and toned legs.
She also wore a pair of Prada tortoiseshell sunglasses to protect her eyes.
The couple looked comfortable in each other’s company as they took in some rays on the sand.
While at the beach, Ed’s date helpfully put sunscreen on his back, and then they both lay on their stomachs to get some sun.
Honestly, there’s nothing quite like a beautiful ocean view to just pause and appreciate life. After taking a moment to soak it all in, this couple finally dove into the incredibly clear water – it looked so refreshing! It’s all about those little moments of joy, isn’t it?
The couple didn’t show any public displays of affection on their beach date, but they happily spent several hours talking on the sand.
Ed and Jaynie ended their seven-year relationship in 2012, only sixteen months after their second child was born.
Jaynie announced that she and Ed had decided to separate and remain on good terms.
We are prioritizing the well-being of our children and ask for privacy right now.
Ed and Jaynie share two children – Hayden, 18, and Remy, 14.
Prior to her relationship with Ed, Jaynie was married to radio executive Mark Shaw.
Jaynie began her career at Channel Nine in 2004, presenting the weather on Nine News in Sydney. She then moved to Sky News in 2012.
She currently hosts Sky’s WeekendNewsDay program.
