Guess who! Global superstar attempts to go incognito as he touches down in Sydney

He is a world famous singer renowned for his heartfelt ballads and gentle pop folk music.

He first became famous in 2005, and has been captivating listeners worldwide with his distinctive pop sound ever since.

He promised to legally change his name if his newest album hit number one in the UK. Luckily for him, it only reached number seven, so he didn’t have to follow through on his promise.

The well-known performer arrived at Sydney Airport on Friday, trying to avoid attention before his concert at Qudos Bank Arena on Saturday.

He rocked a laidback look in a navy jumper paired with jeans and white Adidas sneakers.

The singer completed his look with cool aviator sunglasses and a black baseball cap from his own line of accessories.

Despite attempting to keep a low profile, he still had his trademark smile.

So, have you guessed who it is?

Yes, that’s James Blunt, the popular English singer famous for his 2005 song, You’re Beautiful!

James is currently touring Australia and New Zealand and seems to prefer keeping to himself when he’s not performing.

In November last year, James backed out of legally changing his name to ‘Blunty McBluntface’.

The singer from Britain promised to do something different if his latest album reached the top of the charts, but unfortunately, it didn’t.

The 51-year-old musician has re-released his 2004 album, Back To Bedlam, and had previously stated he would legally change his name to whatever name the public chose if the album reached number one.

Despite not reaching the top spot, the album’s debut at number seven on the charts ultimately saved him from a setback.

James recently shared on the Australian program ‘The Project’ that he was happy he didn’t need to legally change his name.

I’m incredibly relieved that happened. I had promised to rename my album to whatever name the British public suggested, and they came up with that one, so it’s perfect.

‘I’m happy because my wife promised to change her name to her maiden name’ he added, laughing.

He playfully mentioned that if he could have picked his own nickname, he would’ve gone with ‘Jimmy Spliff.’ He also shared the fun names his kids call him.

‘I have kids and they really wanted Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Pop Star’ the 5′ 8′ hitmaker added.

James Blunt’s album Back To Bedlam came out twenty years ago and included several popular songs like “You’re Beautiful,” “High,” “Wisemen,” and “Goodbye My Lover.”

The album topped the UK charts for several weeks and has since been certified 10x Platinum, signifying massive sales.

To mark its 20th anniversary, the popular singer from Hampshire is re-releasing the album and hitting the road for a tour.
