A famous Australian actor, now a major star in Hollywood, has appeared in an old photo from their school days.
Jacob Elordi’s old school in Brisbane celebrated the success of the ‘Saltburn’ actor with a touching message.
The alumni association for St Joseph’s Nudgee College shared a photo of a former student, showing how much he’s changed since his final year in 2015.
Jacob, who was much younger in the photo, stood with his hands in his pockets. He looked a little uncomfortable, but had a big smile, and was wearing a blue and white striped blazer.
Jacob’s university publicly expressed its pride in his success, especially after the positive feedback surrounding his role in Guillermo del Toro’s new Frankenstein movie.
People are calling Jacob Elordi’s portrayal of Frankenstein one of the most impressive and original versions of the character we’ve seen in a long time, according to a recent post.

The Nudgee Old Boys and the entire St Joseph’s Nudgee College community are incredibly proud of his accomplishments and how easily he has taken on such an important and impactful role.
St Joseph’s Nudgee College is a Catholic boarding school for boys, located in Boondall, Brisbane.
Growing up loving theatre, this Australian actor moved to Hollywood as a teenager to chase his dream of becoming an actor.
Jacob, born in 1997 in Brisbane, is the youngest of four children. He has three older sisters and grew up in a close family.
Jacob discovered his passion for acting at a young age. By 2017, before he turned twenty, he got his first on-screen experience as a background character – a Saint Martin’s Marine – in the movie Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Although it was a small, uncredited part, it sparked his interest in pursuing acting.
Jacob Elordi first gained widespread recognition for playing a popular teen character in the 2018 film series, The Kissing Booth, but he’s since taken on diverse and challenging roles that showcase his range as an actor.
From playing a troubled teen in HBO’s Euphoria to portraying the iconic Elvis Presley in Sofia Coppola’s film Priscilla, the actor has taken on diverse roles.
Playing the wealthy student Felix Catton in the film Saltburn brought Jacob Elordi a BAFTA nomination and significantly increased his popularity.

He most recently played the Creature in Guillermo del Toro’s film version of Mary Shelley’s classic 1818 novel.
Jacob has talked before about his work on the Frankenstein adaptation, explaining that he sees the creature as a representation of his own inner self.
I was really excited by this role because it felt like a chance to express everything I am – my whole life experience, from my earliest memories to being here with you now, is reflected in it.
The character I play on screen feels like the truest version of me – more authentic than even how I present myself as an actor. It’s wonderful when an audience can connect with a character and see themselves in them, and I’m only fully understanding that now, looking back.
Jacob will also be acting with fellow Australian Margot Robbie in Emerald Fennell’s upcoming film adaptation of Wuthering Heights.
This upcoming Valentine’s Day movie tells a love story that journeys through passion, obsession, and ultimately, madness.
