Several players have reported a security issue where linking their PayPal account to the game allowed others to make unauthorized purchases. This problem gained wider attention when Twitch streamer fobm4ster shared on his livestream that someone in Japan used his PayPal to buy the battle pass before he even had the chance to.

One Redditor shared that they lost $600 just trying to buy a battle pass, and others reported similar losses. While it’s unfortunate people lost money, I was really impressed with how quickly the team responded, putting a temporary payment system in place for maintenance and improvements.
