“Groundbreaking” ’90s BBC series confirms return date and promises fans will have their “minds blown”

The classic ’90s show “Walking With Dinosaurs,” which made headlines with its groundbreaking approach by the BBC, has officially announced its release date.

The revival of the timeless series plans to animate various dinosaurs using state-of-the-art computer-generated imagery (CGI), making them appear real on the big screen once more.

The broadcaster has unveiled the release date for viewers to catch the revival: The first episode is scheduled to air on BBC One this coming Sunday, 25th May at 6:25 PM, and the entire series will become available simultaneously on BBC iPlayer.

This upcoming series will delve into the narratives of six distinct dinosaurs such as the Spinosaurus, Albertosaurus, and Pachyrhinosaurus. Using cutting-edge visual technology, these prehistoric creatures will be realistically depicted on screen.

Viewers can anticipate gaining a deeper understanding of how these ancient beasts survived, pursued prey, engaged in combat, and met their ends, in an unprecedentedly accurate manner, as suggested by the latest sneak peek.

In a recent announcement, it’s been made official that Bertie Carvel of “The Crown” will now be the voice behind the narration for the upcoming six-episode series, replacing the original narrator, Kenneth Branagh.

Concerning the show, Carvel expressed his immense excitement, saying, “I’m absolutely ecstatic to join in on the innovative revamp of the dinosaur series, Walking With Dinosaurs.

I’ve long admired the BBC for its pioneering and creative approach to science documentaries. Now, being part of the team that breathes life into tales about ancient creatures is a thrilling prospect for me.

Andrew Cohen, executive producer at BBC Studios Science Unit, hinted that the show would offer a thrilling mix of factual content, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats one moment and astonishing them with mind-blowing revelations the next.

The documentary “Walking With Dinosaurs” is set to make its debut this coming Sunday, 25th of May, at 6:25 PM on both BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The entire show will be accessible for viewing on these platforms.
