Apartment 7A (Paramount+, Sept. 27)

Debuting this Friday on Paramount+, or available for digital purchase, the film titled Apartment 7A is a prequel to the 1968 timeless classic, Rosemary’s Baby. Set a couple of years prior to when Rosemary and Guy Woodhouse will eventually reside at the Bramford, this suspenseful psychological thriller revolves around Terry Gionoffrio (played by Julia Garner), a dancer who suffers an injury that could end her career, and finds herself under the care of Minnie (Dianne Wiest) and Roman (Kevin McNally) Castevet.

Azrael (Theaters, Sept. 27)

In her newest film, Samara Weaving portrays Azrael, a woman who breaks free from confinement only to be pursued by a band of silent, devout extremists. This IFC Films and Shudder production, titled Azrael, is set to hit theaters this week, with a streaming release on Shudder at a future date.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon: The Book of Carol (AMC, Sept. 29)

If you find that title manageable, don’t miss out on the second season of the Daryl Dixon spinoff from The Walking Dead, titled as such because it will bring back Melissa McBride as fan-favorite character Carol Peletier. You’ll get to witness more of the beloved relationship between Carol and Daryl.

Bagman (Theaters, Sept. 27)

As a gamer, I find myself drawn into a chilling world where I’m a protective father, fighting tooth and nail to shield my family from the menacing Bagman, a figure that once cast a shadow over my childhood nights and is said to have an insatiable appetite for young ones.

Out There: Crimes of the Paranormal (Hulu, Sept. 24)

Starting this coming Tuesday, a captivating eight-episode Hulu docuseries from Duplass Brothers Productions delves into bizarre tales of purported UFO encounters, the elusive Goatman legend, lizard people myths, and other extraordinary true crime narratives that push the boundaries of belief.

Oddity (Shudder, Sept. 27)

This week, one of this year’s top and thrilling horror movies, which goes by the name “Oddity“, makes its debut on Shudder. If you missed seeing it in theaters, here’s your chance to catch up. The narrative centers around a visually impaired woman with an affinity for peculiar items who travels to her late sister’s former residence to probe the circumstances surrounding her death.
