I was so excited to hear that Liverpool 1, the crime show with Samantha Womack from EastEnders, found a new home for streaming in the UK! It’s supposed to be really gritty and realistic, and honestly, it sounds like exactly the kind of show I could really get hooked on – a perfect binge-watch!
The show ran for two seasons in the late 1990s, featuring Samantha as Detective Constable Isobel de Pauli, who was moved to a vice unit within the Liverpool police department.
After arriving, she gets to know her new coworkers, DC Mark Callaghan (Mark Womack) and DI Howard Jones (Tom Georgeson), and slowly begins to feel comfortable in her new workplace, despite a chilly initial reception.

Samantha and Mark started dating while working on a crime drama and married in 2009. They have two children, but separated in 2018.
Beginning with her role in Liverpool 1, Samantha Womack became well-known for playing Ronnie Mitchell on the BBC soap EastEnders. She appeared in almost 800 episodes before the character was written off the show in 2017.
