The popular British teen show Skins, known for launching the careers of actors like Nicholas Hoult and Dev Patel, will soon be removed from Netflix. You can still watch it on the streaming service for now, but it won’t be available much longer.
The Bristol-based drama, created by writing duo Bryan Elsley and his son Jamie Brittain, is leaving Netflix UK soon, so now’s the perfect time to watch it again (or for the first time!).
Originally on E4 from 2007 to 2013, the show Skins featured stars like Nicholas Hoult and Dev Patel as Tony Stonem and Anwar Kharral. It also launched the careers of Hannah Murray and Joe Dempsie, who later appeared in Game of Thrones as Cassie Ainsworth and Chris Miles, and Kaya Scodelario (from The Gentlemen) as Tony’s sister, Effy Stonem.

IMDb viewers have called the series one of the best, praising it as raw, honest, and deeply emotional.
I remember back in 2008, someone described Skins as a really fresh and exciting look into what life was like for teenagers at the time, and I totally agree! It felt so real and captivating.

A third person called the show “phenomenal” with “superb” acting from the teen and adult cast.
One viewer praised Skins for its honest portrayal of teenage life, saying it avoids glamorizing the experience and is the most realistic teen drama they’ve ever watched.
The UK series spawned a short-lived American remake, aired for one season on MTV in 2011.
The popular show Skins will soon no longer be available on Netflix in the UK. Fortunately, you can still watch all seven seasons on other streaming platforms, including Prime Video, ITVX, STVPlayer, PlutoTV, and 4.
