“Gripping” new detective drama set in fictional Welsh town gets first look with Yellowstone star

I just got a first look at this new detective show, *Under Salt Marsh*, and it looks seriously good! It stars Kelly Reilly, who you might know from *Yellowstone*. The story’s set in this made-up town in Wales called Morfa Halen, and it kicks off when they find a kid’s body, which then reopens an old, unsolved case. Definitely adding this one to my watchlist!

The first images from the upcoming series reveal Noah Reilly as Jackie Ellis, a former detective now teaching, and Rafe Spall as Detective Eric Bull. Check them out below.

Claire Oakley, the director of *Make Up*, brings us *Under Salt Marsh*, a film that begins as a major storm approaches. Jackie finds what appears to be the body of her eight-year-old student, Cefin.

The story really centers around Jackie, a character who truly captures the untamed spirit of the setting. She’s independent, caring, and incredibly strong-willed – a real product of her environment. We couldn’t be happier that Kelly Reilly is playing her.

Kelly Reilly is widely recognized for her role as Beth Dutton in *Yellowstone*. She’s also been in *True Detective* and *Britannia*. Meanwhile, Julian Spall has starred in shows like *Trying*, *Black Mirror*, and *The Salisbury Poisonings*.
