In the 70s-era thriller titled “Dead Man’s Wire,” which is loosely based on a remarkable true event, has begun its run with a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
In Indianapolis, the movie centers around a character named Tony Kiritsis, who finds himself struggling to keep up with his home loan repayments. Tony begins to suspect that his broker is deliberately refusing to grant him more time for this very reason, and that they intend to take possession of his house.
He takes the broker hostage using a shotgun and a wire, demanding both ransom money and an apology.

The Hollywood Reporter even praised it as such! Furthermore, The Playlist deemed this movie as Van Sant’s “Best movie in years,” applauding its sturdy, simple thrills that left me captivated.

According to RogerEbert.com, Montgomery delivers a remarkably nuanced portrayal, avoiding the dramatic panic often employed by other actors to depict quiet resignation, hinting he may even accept some of the mistreatment. The critic also notes that Van Sant demonstrates his exceptional talent for directing performances as well.
