Countdown stars Jensen Ackles as LAPD detective Mark Meachum, who gets called in to probe the homicide of a DHS officer.
Or, more informally:
Jensen Ackles plays LAPD detective Mark Meachum in a story where he’s tasked with investigating the murder of a DHS officer.
However, the pursuit of the murderer unexpectedly reveals a much darker conspiracy, setting in motion a desperate struggle to safeguard a metropolis teeming with millions before it’s too late.
Besides Ackles and Dane, the television series’ cast additionally features Jessica Camacho from Watchmen, Violett Beane from Drop, Elliot Knight, and Uli Latukefu.
Meanwhile, Ackles will once again take on his character from The Boys by playing Soldier Boy in the upcoming spin-off series titled Vought Rising.
In the upcoming Amazon Prime Video series, we’ll get to see the backstory of Soldier Boy and Aya Cash’s character, Stormfront, along with the origins of Vought International.
Kripke and Paul Grellong, along with other executive producers, unveiled the show, revealing that it’s a dark and intriguing murder mystery set in the 1950s. This tale delves into the origins of Vought, the early adventures of Soldier Boy, and the cunning strategies of a Super called Stormfront, who was known to fans as Clara Vought at that time.
As a captivated enthusiast, I can hardly contain my excitement to unveil this tantalizing, gory narrative steeped in crimson hues and the potent allure of Compound V.
Last month, it was confirmed that Elizabeth Posey from “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” has taken on a significant but as-yet unspecified role within the show’s cast.
Countdown premieres 25 June on prime Video.
