Grey’s Anatomy star’s action-packed crime show is now streaming in the UK

The high-octane series starring Eric Dane from “Grey’s Anatomy” can now be streamed in the UK – it’s called “Countdown”.

This crime thriller focuses on LAPD detective Mark Meachum, played by Jensen Ackles, who gets invited to join a unique squad after a DHS officer’s death. The officer was killed in suspicious circumstances.

As the probe advances swiftly, Mark eventually unearths a scheme that turns out to be much darker and ominous than anyone had anticipated. Alongside the pursuit of the culprit, there’s now an urgent countdown as countless lives hang precariously in the balance.

In the UK and Ireland, you can now stream the initial three episodes of a 13-part crime series featuring Jessica Camacho, which is currently airing on Prime Video.

Here are the next ten episodes of “Countdown” will be made available weekly every Wednesday on the streaming platform, and the season conclusion of Derek Haas’s show is scheduled for broadcast on September 3rd.

After the debut of its initial segments, the series titled “Countdown” has garnered a mix of positive and negative feedback from reviewers, with a 50% approval rating based on the opinions of eight critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

As a gamer, I must admit that “Countdown” doesn’t exactly offer a unique concept that feels groundbreaking. Yet, it manages to keep me hooked with its intriguing characters, top-notch acting, and a plotline that unfolds in a tense and perilous manner.

TVLine found the series to be remarkably impactful, describing it as consistently delivering “spectacular displays,” whereas CBR praised its ability to skillfully blend anticipation with unexpected narratives and innovative storytelling.

The series was characterized as an engaging crime drama by But Why Tho, emphasizing its focus on compelling storytelling. On the other hand, TheWrap found it lackluster, stating that it fails to create suspense, evoke emotions, or leave a lasting impression.

LeisureByte finds Countdown amusing at times but also quite predictable, making it easy to lose focus. Meanwhile, The Daily Beast describes it as awkwardly straightforward, unrealistic, and lacking energy.
