Grey’s Anatomy favourite’s “gripping” new action-drama confirms UK streaming release with first look

The popular actor Jesse Williams, known for his role in Grey’s Anatomy, has confirmed that his intense new action series Hotel Costiera will be available for streaming in the UK – along with its first sneak peek.

In the latest Prime Video series, the actor takes on the role of Daniel De Luca, a veteran Marine, who, after years away, goes back to his childhood home in Italy. There, he finds work as a problem solver or “fixer” at an exclusive resort situated along the Amalfi Coast.

The confirmation is out, indicating that the entire six-part series will be released on September 24th, not just in the UK but globally, including in the United States.

Hotel Costiera offers an engaging plot, swift action and humor as it chronicles the life of Daniel De Luca, a half-Italian ex-US Marine. After leaving the Marines, he goes back to Italy, his childhood homeland, where he takes up a role as a fixer in a lavish hotel nestled along Positano’s breathtaking coastline.

Although he must handle the problems of the affluent visitors, he is simultaneously tasked with investigating the mysterious disappearance of the owner’s daughter, Alice.

Daniel needs to exhaust all his efforts to get her back home. However, confronting the people who abducted the girl could prove tougher than any obstacle Daniel has previously encountered.

The television series was created by Elena Bucaccio, Matthew Parkhill, and Francesco Arlanch, with the initial concept coming from Luca Bernabei. William serves as the show’s producer. Additionally, director Adam Bernstein of “Breaking Bad” fame is involved in this project.

Previously, Bernstein expressed excitement about collaborating with Jesse Williams on the show “Costiera“. He had long been impressed by Williams’ acting skills, whether on stage or on screen. In fact, Williams was the first actor who popped into Bernstein’s mind for the role of Daniel De Luca.

Jesse offers an ideal blend of intellect, charm, and wit, and it’s truly fortuitous that he graces our show as its central figure.

Hotel Costiera will stream on Prime Video from 24 September.
