Grey’s Anatomy casts Supergirl star in major season 21 role

As a die-hard fan of medical dramas and a connoisseur of excellent acting performances, I couldn’t be more thrilled about Floriana Lima joining the cast of Grey’s Anatomy! With her impressive resume that includes Supergirl, A Million Little Things, The Punisher, Quantum Leap, and now Grey’s Anatomy, it seems like she’s mastered the art of playing strong, resilient characters.

Grey’s Anatomy has cast Supergirl star Floriana Lima in a major role.

The series comes back for its 21st season later in this month, introducing Lima’s character, Nora, on October 3rd. As it happens, an ordinary procedure at another hospital leads to complications, causing her character to show up at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Nora is an old friend from Owen Hunt’s (Kevin McKidd’s) childhood, who is currently a loving mother and a recent divorcee. She is determined to persevere for the sake of her children and to explore what lies ahead in her life – although this isn’t easy.

Previously, Lima has acted as Maggie Sawyer in the series ‘Supergirl’, and can also be seen in ‘A Million Little Things’, ‘The Punisher’ and ‘Quantum Leap’.

The news has emerged following the confirmation that Natalie Morales will rejoin Grey’s Anatomy in season 21, where she’ll play Dr Monica Beltran alongside Ellen Pompeo as Meredith Grey, Scott Speedman as Nick Marsh, and Kali Rocha as Dr Sydney Heron.

Actress Camilla Luddington, who plays Jo Wilson on screen, hinted at upcoming episodes in August, confessing that the scripts had left her feeling quite shaken.

She shared with the Call It What It Is podcast, “I opened my eyes this morning, swiped through my phone and there it was, waiting in my email, the first episode script for Grey’s Anatomy season 21.

“Jess, you know how unpredictable things can be? Well, this morning, while I was reading the script in bed, it took me by surprise.

Before the new season starts, they’ve shared an entertaining video showing how the series is made, with Chris Carmack, who plays Atticus Lincoln, wearing denim shorts.

Season 21 of Grey’s Anatomy will debut on ABC in the United States on Thursday, September 26 at 10pm Eastern Time. Previously aired seasons can be streamed on Disney+ in the UK.
