Gremlins 3 Release Date Set for Long-Awaited Sequel

Warner Bros. has set a release date for Gremlins 3, the next film in the popular horror-comedy series from Amblin Entertainment. This news follows confirmation from Zach Galligan, who starred in the original Gremlins movies, that the script was finished back in February. After about ten years of planning, it seems the movie is now officially in production.

When is the Gremlins 3 release date?

According to Variety, the third Gremlins movie is now set to be released in theaters on November 19, 2027. This puts it in competition with the next film from the directors of the acclaimed movie Everything Everywhere All at Once, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert. It will also be released in the same month as Disney’s Frozen III.

Steven Spielberg will return as executive producer for the next movie. Chris Columbus, known for directing “Harry Potter” and “Home Alone,” is also back – this time as director and producer. He previously wrote the script for the first film. Details about the story and who will star in the movie haven’t been revealed yet.

Joe Dante directed the horror comedy Gremlins, written by Chris Columbus. The film starred Zach Galligan, along with Phoebe Cates, Hoyt Axton, Polly Holliday, and Frances Lee McCain, and featured Howie Mandel as the voice of Gizmo. Its success led to a sequel, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, released in 1994.

The 1984 film introduced Billy Peltzer, who receives a unique creature called Gizmo from his father. Gizmo comes with three important rules: keep him out of the sun, don’t get him wet, and never feed him after midnight. When Gizmo accidentally gets splashed with water, Billy finds himself in a lot of trouble.
