Greg James confirms BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2025 location

It’s been officially announced by Greg James that BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in 2025 will take place in a location that will undoubtedly bring joy to the residents living in the northern part of England.

Every year since 2003, this festival features numerous musical performances, attracting crowds of thousands. The venue varies annually as the event travels across different towns and cities throughout the United Kingdom.

Excited fans are waiting for updates about the 2025 festival, and on Tuesday (January 28), BBC Radio 1 host James shared all the information during his morning show. He announced that this year’s event will be happening at Sefton Park in Liverpool, from May 23rd to 25th.

To add to that, the presenter has verified the initial lineup for the upcoming festival, featuring Blossoms, Wet Leg, Lola Young, Myles Smith, and Sam Fender. Notably, Sam Fender will serve as one of the headliners and perform on stage.

James, who’s been hosting the morning radio show since 2018, hinted (through RadioTimes) that some of the world’s top artists would be gracing the fantastic city of Liverpool. He mentioned excitedly that fans would adore the roster of more than 100 performers.
