As a longtime devotee of the delightful world of baking and all things GBBS, I can hardly contain my excitement! The return of this enchanting show is like the first bloom of spring for me – it signals the beginning of comforting, heartwarming days ahead.

Ah, it’s the time for some special festivities! Yes, you’re right, it’s the eerie time of year, but let me tell you something even sweeter – it’s also the season for “The Great British Baking Show“! The show is all set to return on Channel 4 on September 24, 2024, so get ready because those new episodes will be streaming on Netflix too! (Now, let me just squeal with excitement!)

When does the weekly viewing of episodes begin on Netflix? The debut is set for this coming Friday, September 27th. You’ll see familiar faces like Paul Hollywood, Prue Leith, Noel Fielding, and Alison Hammond returning to the show.

This season, we’ll encounter a fresh set of bakers! Comprising twelve diverse individuals hailing from various backgrounds and cultures, their ages span from 19 to 71 years old. Just like before, they are expected to embody warmth, camaraderie, and an unmatched sweetness.

Besides introducing fresh bakers every time, the key point of discussion is about the weekly themes. Of course, we can expect the traditional ones like Biscuit Week, Pastry Week, and Bread Week. However, here’s hoping that the show has discarded its more contentious theme weeks, as they seem out of place now.

Familiar British sweets, camaraderie among contestants, Noel’s witty humor and sweaters, as well as his jests about Paul, all contribute to its charm. Alison, with her energetic presence, brought a refreshing vibe that made the show even more enjoyable. I can hardly wait for her to return this season!
