Gravity Game Tech has announced that their online role-playing game, previously known as Project Abyss: Next Ragnarok, will now be called Ragnarok Abyss. The game will be released on several platforms and is the latest installment in the popular Ragnarok series. The final name was chosen after a naming contest involving the game’s community.

The game’s name actually came from a fan event called “First Explorers – Let’s name our world!”, where players voted on the title for Project Abyss: Next Ragnarok. The developers chose “RO: Abyss,” and it seems like a good fit. I appreciate that the team is striving to create a truly exciting and memorable game.

Based on the trailer from G-Star 2024, this new game appears to build upon and improve the Ragnarok experience. Features like open-world exploration, quick combat, detailed character customization, changing weather, and a visual style similar to Genshin Impact have me excited to see if it can live up to the series’ reputation.
