Inspired by the beautiful village of Achi in Nagano Prefecture – often called “Peach Blossom Village” – this watch aims to capture the fleeting beauty of springtime along the Achi River. The skilled craftspeople at the Shinshu Watch Studio in Shiojiri, located in the region, created a pale pink dial that evokes the gentle color of morning peach blossoms. The dial has a subtle texture and appears to change shade as the light hits it.
This watch has a 40mm case made of strong, lightweight titanium, inspired by a classic 1967 design. It has a smooth, seamless look with a flat sapphire crystal. The dial is a gentle peach-pink color, reminiscent of early morning blossoms, and features elegant hands and clear hour markers. A small power reserve indicator shows how much energy is left. The titanium case is expertly polished to create both mirror-like shine and brushed textures, beautifully reflecting light.
You can see the intricate automatic Spring Drive Caliber 9R65 movement through the sapphire crystal caseback. This watch offers a power reserve of up to 72 hours and is accurate to within about 15 seconds per month. Only 30 pieces of the SBGA529 will be made, and it goes on sale in August 2026 for $7,600. It will only be available at the Grand Seiko Boutique in Lenox Square, Atlanta, which is operated by Reeds Jewelers.
