Graham Norton has announced a special one-off show for later this month.
On this coming Saturday, 24th August, the event will be held by Norton, where they will broadcast a unique Virgin Radio program to mark the conclusion of the Edinburgh International Festival. This special occasion will take place directly from the Commons Club Bar within the city’s Virgin Hotel.
From 10 am until 1 pm, the program is scheduled to air, boasting numerous distinguished guests. For those who are members of Virgin Red, you can utilize the app to put forward an application to attend live.
Norton excitedly expressed his anticipation for reconnecting with all Virgin listeners and shared his joy over our joint celebration of the iconic Edinburgh festival right in the city center. It’s all feeling like a delightful “grand finale” to the summer season!
This special event signifies the host’s comeback to Virgin Radio, having been part of the team since 2021 following his decade-long tenure at BBC Radio 2.

After approximately three and a half years as the weekend host for the radio station, he revealed his decision to step away from the position.
At that moment, he expressed: “I’ve enjoyed myself immensely here with Maria, Chef Martha, my guests, and the rest of the team on the Graham Norton Radio Show with Waitrose. However, I am excited to have weekends free for the first time in 13 years!

I won’t be disappearing completely; you’ll hear me occasionally on Virgin Radio. I’m excited about coming back whenever that happens.
In the upcoming months, it’s likely that The Graham Norton Show, airing on BBC One and iPlayer, will make its comeback around late September or early October.
The latest issue of Digital Spy’s print edition has arrived! You can purchase the “Oasis – Live in ’25” magazine from newsstands or online for only £8.99.
