Graham Norton revealed he’s adjusted his talk show to keep things fresh and avoid monotony. With the show currently in its 33rd season, the BBC has commissioned three additional series.
As the 34th season begins this fall, Graham shared how he changed his filming schedule to keep things interesting.
The talk show host explained that they previously filmed the show in separate chunks throughout the year, but he changed things up to make it more engaging by filming everything all at once.

On his podcast, Wanging On with Graham Norton and Maria McErlane, Graham explained that he used to schedule the show with a break in February, followed by eight weeks of recording in April and May.
So, about five or six years ago, I cut that part out of my routine, and honestly, it was the best thing I could’ve done. It totally stopped me from getting burnt out on the whole thing, you know? I was starting to get bored, but that fixed it.

He explained that he works for about half the year and then takes half the year off. He really enjoys this arrangement, still feeling enthusiastic in February and even missing it when he’s not working, as he looks forward to starting again in September.
During the podcast, Graham mentioned they’ve committed to making three more episodes.

He playfully mentioned that as he got older, the stage might need some changes. He imagined needing a small ramp instead of steps to get on stage, and shoes with wheels so he could easily glide on and begin the show, welcoming the guests as they introduced themselves.
The show’s producer, Graham Stuart, recently explained that the seating chart is carefully planned to encourage good interactions between the panelists.
The Graham Norton Show airs Friday nights on BBC One and streams on iPlayer.
The latest issue of Living Legends magazine is now available, and it’s a special tribute to Dolly Parton! You can find ‘Dolly at 80’ in shops or order it online for only £8.99.
