Grace Tame has thrown a wild birthday bash for her milestone 30th.

The attorney posted a sequence of pictures from the party on Instagram, where she donned a bold, Austin Powers-esque metallic blue jumpsuit as part of her Debbie Harry attire.

At Capanno Trattoria in Sydney, the rock-themed party took place, where Grace, sporting a blonde wig, struck various poses amidst her friends and relatives.

10 days past, she celebrated her 30th birthday, brimming with joy and satisfaction, as she penned a lengthy caption to accompany the pictures.

Although not all of my dear ones could be present for the celebration on that particular day – a circumstance I’ve come to terms with due to being born near Christmas – numerous members of my family and lifelong friends were in attendance. The level of joy, food, and laughter we shared should last until next year at least.

After that, she became a bit contemplative, penning: ‘Reaching milestones and concluding cycles often stir reflections in me. It’s challenging to find reasons to rejoice when considering the world’s present condition.’

In a similar vein, it’s worth noting that malevolent influences have long been inflicting damage. What sets the present apart is the stark, repeated exposure to such harm that we’ve been experiencing.

‘Still, each of deserves to feel happiness when we can. To be together. To give and receive love’

She ended by expressing gratitude towards her diverse group of friends, who donned costumes reminiscent of famous rock icons like Kurt Cobain, Courtney Love, and Angus Young, for attending and bestowing affection upon her.

After it was disclosed that Tame has been logging an impressive 100 kilometers each week, she openly expresses her aspiration to attend the Olympics.

To stand a chance of qualifying for the games, the Australian long-distance runner mentioned that she’d need to adjust her training schedule. This is because Los Angeles will be hosting the Olympics in 2028, followed by Brisbane in 2032.

In May, Tame, a supporter for those impacted by sexual assault, completed the longest race, a 60km ultra-marathon, at the Great Ocean Road Running Festival. She was the first woman to cross the finish line.

She blitzed the course in just under four hours and 43 minutes.

2021’s Australian of the Year couldn’t suppress her happiness as she broke into tears, overwhelmed by emotion, after the competition, having fought against fierce winds and rain all through it.

Previously, Tame achieved marathon times under two hours, and when ABC News Australia inquired about her attempting to qualify for the Olympics during a podcast, she expressed a willingness to consider it.

Tame shared with ABC that she really wants to attend the Olympics,” said when prompted about whether she’s drawn any inspiration from watching the marathon at the Paris Games.

‘I’m not going to ever put a limit on myself.

As your trusted lifestyle advisor, I find myself needing to focus on improving both my pace and my reliability, and possibly rearranging some work responsibilities to ensure balance. It’s crucial for me to take into account the mental demands I face daily, as managing cognitive load is essential for optimal productivity.

On an average day, I have a significant mental workload that needs to be decreased if I want to reach my running potential.

Throughout the podcast, Tame candidly discussed her experience with running, expressing her affection for the activity, and explaining why she thinks it offers an excellent means for individuals to unwind and find tranquility.

Tame shared that she started running while she was still a student at school, sparked by her athletic cousin Elouise, who’s a triathlete, to take up the sport.

When inquired about attempting to qualify for the Olympics, Tame remained open to all possibilities.

She playfully implied, “If you haven’t realized this already, I’m willing to try just about anything.

‘I’d have to shave a bit of time off my marathon time,’ she added.

It’s clear that I’m not training at the same intensity or distance as Olympic athletes. They typically cover up to 200 kilometers a week, which is double my current mileage.

‘I’d have to adjust my plates [schedule],’ she said.

15-year-old Tame, who was studying in Year 10 at St Michael’s Collegiate Girls’ School in Hobart, was inappropriately touched and sexually abused by her 58-year-old teacher Nicolaas Bester during that time.

Bester was subsequently convicted and jailed.

Since then, she’s become an activist, focusing her efforts on educating people about the issue of child sexual abuse and pushing for changes in legislation.

The distance runner also founded the Grace Tame Foundation.

The organisation looks to support schemes aimed at stopping child sexual abuse and help survivors.

In the podcast, the Australian woman shared insights about the significance of running in her life and her experiences in the sport thus far.

‘I am nowhere near an elite-level runner,’ she said.

I’ve become quite fond of running, and I’ve discovered that I used to enjoy it even when I was a child in elementary school.

‘My cousin Elouise, who now coaches me, was doing triathlons and she stayed at our house a lot.

She mentioned that we’re approximately four years apart, and it seems like I was roughly six or seven years old when she went for a run one morning. That’s when I inquired if I could join her on her run.

Over the last quarter-century, starting from that initial significant run, we’ve traveled not just hundreds but thousands of kilometers. I’ve never regretted my decision to move forward.

When discussing her connection to running, she mentioned, “My running habit mirrors how I feel about myself and the balance in my life.

My path has been quite challenging, with extended breaks due to traumatic events or physical injuries along the way.

‘On the whole, it is such an integral part of being a human being.’
