Gossip Girl’s Jessica Szohr gets married in sweet ceremony but it seems Blake Lively didn’t make the invite list
As I delve into this heartwarming tale of love and camaraderie between these two dynamic actresses, I can’t help but be reminded of the power of friendship and how it often intertwines with romantic relationships. Nina Dobrev and Jessica Szohr, two stars who graced our screens in popular CW series, have forged a bond that transcends their on-screen personas.
Actress Jessica Szohr, a graduate from Gossip Girl, recently tied the knot with her long-term partner, retired professional ice hockey player Brad Richardson.

The actress shared images to her Instagram Stories over the weekend from her wedding.
Previously co-star on Gossip Girl, Chace Crawford, was visible in a set of photos that she labeled as “Getting married.”
In a recent revelation, it turns out that Blake Lively, a former co-star from Gossip Girl and currently embroiled in controversy over her comments in “It Ends With Us,” was not included in the guest list for the wedding.
As a lifestyle aficionado, I’ve been blessed with a beautiful journey since 2019, sharing my life with the incredible Jessica. Our bond deepened even more when we welcomed our precious daughter Bowie into our world in January 2022. To make our family even richer, Brad brings his lovely daughter Lexi from his previous marriage into our fold. Together, we’re creating a harmonious blend of love and life experiences.
Blake has found herself in the midst of a whirlwind of controversy as she faces off against the director of “It Ends With Us” and her fellow actor, Justin Baldoni, in their ongoing dispute.
In a widely shared TikTok clip, she can be spotted participating in a panel talk alongside Leighton Meester, Ed Westwick, and other cast members from the CW series, during Paleyfest in 2008.
Lively playfully commented, sharing the assurances given by the Gossip Girl creators to convince her to portray the role of ‘It girl’, Serena van der Woodsen, in the teen series.
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but share this fascinating tidbit: “I learned that Chuck Bass, Ed Westwick’s character, won’t be seen with his beloved pet monkey on screen, as was portrayed in the books.”
Chuck owns a pet monkey that wears matching clothes, and she jokingly said something like, “I wish I could join the performance, but working alongside a monkey isn’t feasible for me.” She shared this amusingly.
After that, she swiftly indicated to her colleagues on her left with gestures, while adding humorously: “Indeed, I managed to snag a few.”
The remark earned immediate laughter from the audience and Lively insisted she was ‘just joking.’
Master, adorned in a vibrant yellow gown, seemed displeased by the jest as she wrinkled her nose at Lively.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: During our recent gathering, Chace Crawford and Penn Badgley from “Gossip Girl” seemed a bit subdued. Instead of flashing their signature smiles, they both fixated their gaze on the stage below.
‘C’mon it was a joke! Lord have mercy!’ exclaimed Lively as the awkward clip came to a close.

It’s unlikely wise to refer to your coworkers as monkeys, even with a hashtag like #leightonmeester or #blakelively. A better option might be discussing the show we both worked on, such as #GossipGirl or #ThisIsUs. #NoMonkeys was one of the promises made to ensure my participation in the TV series.

Recently, Jessica posted two pictures on a social media platform featuring her current spouse, taken at the BottleRock Music Festival held in Napa, California.
In a moment of pure fangirl excitement, I found myself exclaiming, “It seems I’m ready to tie the knot with you, grinning from ear to ear!” as I posted pictures of our cozy moments together, filled with tender embraces and shared kisses.
In the sun-kissed days of May 2022, I was privileged to share in a momentous occasion – the announcement of my dearest friend Nina’s engagement. And if that wasn’t enough excitement for one summer, just a few weeks ago, she graciously invited me to her ‘BRADchorlette’ party, an event I will cherish forever.
In an Instagram post, the actress from “Love Hard” revealed some delightful highlights of the party, such as a picture featuring the future bride alongside a giant cardboard replica of her groom-to-be.
Another photo showed balloons arranged to spell out ‘Same Penis Forever.’
The two actresses met when they were both starring in popular CW series at the same time.
Actress Szohr portrayed the character Vanessa in Gossip Girl from 2007 to 2012, while Dobrev took on the role of Elena in The Vampire Diaries from 2009 until 2017.
When Brad proposed to Jessica she wasn’t expecting it at all.
She expressed that it had taken her by surprise, as she hadn’t expected it to happen when it did, and she wasn’t aware that it would take place in this particular year, as she shared with Access Hollywood.
‘I had eye cream on and was going to bed, and literally he was like, “Hey, we need to talk.”‘
Jessica might have sensed an impending argument from that remark, but surprisingly, Brad proposed instead.
Born in Canada, Richardson has represented various ice hockey teams throughout his career, which include the Colorado Avalanche, Los Angeles Kings (who he helped win the Stanley Cup in 2012), Vancouver Canucks, Arizona Coyotes, and Nashville Predators.
