Gossip Girl And OC Fans Can’t Get Enough Of ‘Seth Cohen And Blair Waldorf’ Onscreen Together In Nobody Wants This (And I’m Loving It)

If you were a fan of teen shows like those on The CW, you probably loved The O.C. and Gossip Girl (I certainly did!). So, when I found out the stars of those shows, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, were a couple in real life, I was thrilled. Now, I’m really excited because they’re going to be acting together in a new TV project coming out in 2025, and a lot of other fans are just as happy! People who loved their characters, Seth Cohen and Blair Waldorf, are especially excited about seeing them together again on Season 2 of Nobody Wants This.

Before the second season of Nobody Wants This even came out on Netflix, it was revealed that Blake Lively’s husband, Jason Bateman, would be sharing the screen with Kristen Bell, who is famously the voice of Gossip Girl. Now that the episode is available, fans have seen Lively play Abby alongside Bateman’s Noah and Bell’s Joanne in Season 2, Episode 5. The appearance has sparked a wave of nostalgia online, as one Twitter user, @cloiskryptonite, noted.

After a popular post pointed out that Blake Lively (Meester) and Leighton Meester (Bell) both starred on Gossip Girl, and Adam Brody was a major star from the early 2000s show The O.C., @TheNuGeekz responded with a funny post. They wrote as if they were Gossip Girl, saying:

Looks like Seth Cohen and Blair Waldorf are hanging out! I don’t think Blair’s really over Chuck, though. Is she trying to get Chuck’s attention? Gossip Girl signing off…

As someone who loved Chuck and Blair together, this is really funny. And as a fan of Adam Brody and Leighton Meester’s relationship in real life, I’m totally on board with this!

I also found it really funny when Noah said Abby, the character played by Meester who’s Joanne’s old rival, wasn’t his type. It’s hilarious because Brody and Abby have been married since 2014! Viewers clearly loved it too – one person, @caitlingilbs, shared this reaction to the moment:

Over in the comments of Nobody Wants This Instagram post about the scene Brody and Meester share, the gushing continued. This whole moment really had everything to make a child of the early 2000s melt, as @piccalilli_la wrote:

It’s amazing how this whole thing feels like a trip down memory lane! The fact that Seth Cohen from The O.C. and Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl are married in real life was already exciting. But now, seeing them both act in a show with Kristen Bell – who starred in another popular show from the early 2000s, Veronica Mars, and also narrates Gossip Girl – is just fantastic.
