Gordon Ramsay to Launch British‑Style Gastropub at Disneyland in Downtown Disney

Gordon Ramsay is partnering with Earl of Sandwich to open a new British pub and restaurant called Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby in the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.

Location, Layout, and Capacity

A new Earl of Sandwich location is coming to Downtown Disney! The building will have two levels: a quick-service restaurant on the ground floor and a full-service pub with table seating upstairs. The pub will have room for around 175 diners, including indoor seating, a bar area, and two outdoor patios.

Earl Enterprises will be in charge of building the new location, and Gordon Ramsay North America will handle all the food and kitchen aspects. This marks the first time Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants are working with the Walt Disney Company. This deal also means Earl Enterprises will continue to grow its presence at Disneyland Resort, having operated there since 2012.

Theme and Atmosphere

The restaurant’s design is inspired by the vibrant atmosphere of 1960s London, specifically the British pop and rock scene. It’s named after Carnaby Street, a famous center for fashion and youth culture during that time. Inside, guests can expect comfortable booths, a lively bar, décor featuring concert posters, and two terraces offering views of Downtown Disney. Select evenings will feature live music, playing hits from the British Invasion bands of the 1960s.

Ramsay explained the choice of a 1960s theme, saying London was the center of attention during that decade – a vibrant and exciting time for going out and enjoying life. Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby aims to capture that energy with stylish décor, delicious food, and great music, making it perfect for a date, a family dinner, or a night out with friends. He believes it will bring the best of 1960s British cool to Downtown Disney District.

Menu and Beverage Offerings

The restaurant will primarily serve traditional British dishes. Guests can expect iconic meals like Gordon Ramsay’s beef Wellington, alongside popular choices such as fish and chips and sticky toffee pudding.

The restaurant will be fully licensed to serve alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, and beer.

Timing, Strategy, and Context

Disney and Ramsay announced they were working together on October 9, 2025. While there’s no confirmed opening date yet, it’s expected to launch sometime in 2026.

This project is one piece of a larger effort to update the dining options at Downtown Disney. It joins other new restaurants led by well-known chefs, like Din Tai Fung, Paseo (created by Carlos Gaytán), and concepts from Joe Isidori.

Considerations and Unknowns

This restaurant is a key part of how Disneyland is updating its dining options, showcasing a talented chef’s vision. It appears to be a partnership with Earl of Sandwich, rather than a restaurant run solely by Gordon Ramsay.

Since there’s no confirmed opening date, things like prices, how reservations will work, and the complete menu are still just estimates.
