On the latest episode of The Jonathan Ross Show, the 58-year-old television cook shared insights about when his partner, Holly, might get married and provided glimpses into his upcoming wedding speech.

As an over-the-moon fan, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve learned directly from the host, Jonathan, that their special day will indeed take place under the twinkling lights of Christmas! They’re scouting for the perfect areas and venues, and trust me, every detail is being meticulously planned.

Additionally, it was disclosed that prior to proposing last September, the Olympic swimmer sought the approval of Gordon and his spouse Tana before making his proposal.

When Jonathan inquired about seeking Gordon’s approval, the restaurant owner clarified: “It wasn’t exactly permission, but he’s an exceptionally kind individual. He’s incredibly grounded, diligent, and focused.

In Cornwall, he gathered us and announced, “Holly is an ideal match for me. I wish to seek your approval – not only yours but also Tana’s – for her to become my wife.” The atmosphere was incredibly special at that moment.

‘Everything went quiet. As a future son-in-law, we couldn’t ask for anyone better.’

Regarding the speech he’ll give at the wedding, Gordon playfully remarked, “I promise it will be brief and straightforward – let’s avoid any complications!

Gordon added: ‘He’s so grounded. Those two get on so well. It’s a blessing.’

Adam, 30, and Holly, 25, announced their engagement last September after three years of dating.

In conversation about Adam, Gordon mentioned, “There can be a touch of friendly competition among us three when it comes to swimming.

During their trip to Mallorca, the swimmer surprised Holly by proposing, following his display of a stunning yellow diamond engagement ring in some photos.

In response to the Olympic swimmer’s revelation that his faith helped him overcome addiction, Holly and Adam added relevant Bible verses to their comments, thus reinforcing and amplifying one another’s messages of spiritual support.

On Instagram, she wrote: “I’m marrying my dearest friend. Words can hardly express what I’m feeling at this moment. I still recall the huge grin on my face when I returned home after our first date together.

I’m grateful that you allow my inner child to experience love, recognition, and joy beyond compare. I adore you, and I eagerly anticipate becoming your wife.

She went on to reference Adam’s son George, who he shares with ex-girlfriend Eirianedd Munro.

Holly expressed: “I vow to stand by your side, with both you and George. I feel profound gratitude for being a part of his life, and I eagerly anticipate what’s to come.

1 Corinthians 13:13 states that there are only three things left that truly matter: unwavering belief, unyielding optimism, and profound affection. However, love holds the highest place among these three.

Apart from that, Adam likewise published an enthusiastic message revealing the update, following his choice to temporarily step away from competitive swimming.

In a touching tribute, he commended his partner for standing by him during the toughest chapters of his life, which included a high-profile struggle with alcoholism and mental health issues.

He wrote: “I find it hard to comprehend that you’ll be my wife. I feel like the most fortunate individual on the planet, to have a soft, considerate, and stunning woman standing beside me. You overflow my heart and provide tranquility for my spirit.

You’ve stood by my side during my toughest times, providing guidance that allowed me to comprehend myself better and find my way through my personal struggles.

Apart from the numerous joyful moments we’ve shared, it’s remarkable that, for the first time, I feel content with who I am as a person. I recall when you accompanied me to church, embracing the wonderful congregation we are part of, without any hesitation.
