Gordon Ramsay Finally Speaks on Gino D’Acampo’s Allegations After Show Cancellation
After the cancellation of their show, Gordon Ramsay has now publicly addressed the claims of misconduct involving Gino d’Acampo.
58-year-old Gordon acknowledged reaching out to Gino, who currently confronts accusations of unsuitable and threatening conduct towards women throughout a span of twelve years – allegations that he refutes.
On Thursday, the TV chef shared with The Standard that he had contacted both Gino and Fred, checking on their well-being and that of their families.
Since 2018, their show has been broadcasted on ITV. However, ITV has ended its association with Gino, who is 48 years old, and will no longer play reruns of his TV programs.
Ramsay had previously failed to speak out in support of his former co-star.
To clarify, Katie Hind from The Mail mentioned that it was indeed Gordon Ramsay who expressed worries about D’Acampo’s actions around two years back, which eventually led to the end of their shared program and, in time, their relationship as friends.

In 2023, D’Acampo left the program due to issues he referred to as “contract complexities,” and it seems that their bond has significantly weakened ever since.
In a recent Instagram post, D’Acampo stated that he won’t be filming any more “Gordon, Gino and Fred Road Trips”. This decision has no connection with either Gordon or Fred, as their friendship remains robust.
He stated: “Given how intricate and pressure-filled contracts can get, my appreciation for the friendship with Gordon and Fred is immense. It’s worth more to me than engaging in disputes over the contract.
I’ve made up my mind to stop doing that, as I aim to maintain friendships with those guys for a long time into the future.
Following D’Acampo’s exit, Ramsay expressed his dissatisfaction towards his fellow cast members on the Spencer Matthews-hosted podcast Big Fish, stating that they often made him appear more competent due to their laid-back behaviors.
The celebrity from Hell’s Kitchen remarked: “They are terrific, yet incredibly frustrating. They’re incredibly lazy, to the point where they make me seem like a hard worker.
In Gino’s shop, it takes an hour for him to grab an espresso, or get his eyebrows threaded; meanwhile, Fred is longing for his croissant and makeup application that take 90 minutes. (or)
Gino spends an hour in the shop deciding between an espresso and eyebrow grooming; at the same time, Fred is yearning for his croissant and eye makeup application which both take 90 minutes.
He commented: ‘We manage to coexist, yet after about three to four days together, it feels as if one of us says, “Make way, I need more space in the bed,” or, “Time for a breather?” It seems they lack the drive to work harder.’
Last week, allegations emerged that Gino had sketched an explicit image of a female TV producer on-air, prompting an investigation by ITV regarding the television chef.
Under scrutiny is the renowned Italian actor, recognized for his playful screen character. Numerous individuals have brought forth accusations about his behavior spanning the last 12 years, labeling it as “upsetting,” “inappropriate,” and in some cases, “awful.
ITV executives are currently looking into allegations made by a female producer against D’Acampo, according to an initial report by The Sun.
The woman asserted that her uncomfortable interaction took place while they were both on air for Saturday Cooks! program.
She asserted that he drew a bare female figure, posed with legs apart, following her request for a portrait sketch.
According to reports, the producer is believed to have confided in a friend about the completed cartoon, stating, “I assumed it would be an innocuous depiction. However, upon seeing the final piece, I was taken aback and deeply embarrassed.
She also alleged that D’Acampo made a sexual comment about leather boots she was wearing.
D’Acampo has strongly refuted all the accusations made against him, stating that they are “completely contrary to my character” and finding them extremely distressing.

Following Melanie Sykes’ critical remarks about D’Acampo and the TV executives earlier this month, where she called for purging the ‘monsters’ in the entertainment business from its ranks, it has now transpired.
For a period of three years, she co-hosted ITV’s cooking and talk show “Let’s Do Lunch” along with D’Acampo. However, in 2021, she decided to leave television following an alleged inappropriate comment made by the host of MasterChef, Gregg Wallace.
55-year-old Ms. Sykes, looking back at her challenging career journey, expressed her solidarity: “I’ve been observing the behavior of those misogynists on television, and I stand with anyone who has endured something unacceptable or far worse.
‘No safeguards are in place, and certain activities are taking place backstage during filming. It’s disheartening when broadcasters claim ignorance by passing the buck to the production company.’
Ms. Sykes went on saying, “Once, I recall Gino telling me he could simply approach the decision-makers, knock on their door, and enter without needing an appointment. He seemed rather proud of this ability.
For 24 years, I felt like I was in the midst of a war zone within that industry. It didn’t align with me at all. Essentially, if you’re constantly dealing with other people’s messes, then just clean the house, clear it out, and start fresh – that’s my advice.
Among the accusations made against D’Acampo is one claiming that he kissed a footballer’s wife on the lips during a charity event, where he was the star guest, and then boasted about doing so with the words “because I have the power to do it.

Previously well-known television cook unexpectedly planted a kiss on the surprised celebrity partner, leaving many attendees stunned, as they were witness to the spontaneous display.
The occurrence took place in the year 2012, during a time when they were both present at a black-tie charity function hosted by Stoke City Football Club.
TopMob opted to keep the woman whom he grabbed confidential, showing concern for her personal space and privacy.
In my professional perspective, I myself remember vividly: Upon being introduced onstage, Gino confidently navigated through the sea of spectators right towards the table where the esteemed footballer and his beloved spouse sat.
‘He then very suddenly grabbed her by the face, and kissed her on the lips.’
Considering the recent assertions, a representative from ITV stated: “ITV is fully dedicated to establishing a setting in which every individual is valued and empowered to perform at their peak.
Over the past five years, we’ve fortified our policies significantly, and in 2024, we established a specialized Complaints Management Unit. This team is responsible for handling any grievances related to on-screen presenters, ensuring that ITV maintains an all-encompassing perspective across various productions.
At ITV, our conduct expectations are explicitly defined. All those associated with ITV must adhere to ITV’s Code of Ethics and Professional Behavior. In our work environment at ITV, we uphold courteousness, fairness, dignity, and respect for everyone. We do not tolerate any form of abusive conduct in the workplace.
Additionally, we’ve made it clear what is expected of our on-screen presenters by referring to the Code of Conduct and Quality Standards for On-Screen Talent, which were published in 2024.
The actions described in this news article are not suitable and will not be tolerated. We promise to handle any complaints that come up, doing so thoroughly and in line with our well-established procedures.
A representative for D’Acampo stated: “Mr. D’Acampo learned about these accusations, which pertain to incidents supposedly happening around 17 years ago [this afternoon at 3:17 PM / yesterday afternoon], when he received an email from The Sun on Sunday.
The details are lacking; what we have are unclear accusations with no defined year, individual, or backstory provided. These accusations were never brought to his notice before, he doesn’t remember them and doesn’t recognize the behavior ascribed to him. He flatly denies these allegations.
‘He’s been informed by The Sun on Sunday that there’s a complaint made to ITV in December 2024 concerning him. If this is true, he requests ITV to reach out to him regarding it, assuring them of his full cooperation. He’s extremely concerned about the substantial and growing impact these accusations are having on his family.’
