As a child, Brooklyn Beckham especially enjoyed playing with the children of his family friend, Gordon Ramsay.
He had a special bond with Jack and Holly, the chef’s twin children who were born only nine months after he was.
Growing up, the children of David and Victoria Beckham and Gordon and Tana Ramsay shared similar experiences. Both families lived very public lives in both Europe and America, and their kids navigated the challenges and rewards of having famous parents.
They’ve always been close, sharing holidays, Christmases, jokes, and private moments. However, Brooklyn won’t be at Holly’s wedding this weekend when she marries Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty – a fact that’s been widely discussed.
Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz won’t be joining his parents, David and Victoria, and his siblings – Romeo, Cruz, and Harper – for the holidays. They plan to spend the festive season in America with Nicola’s family – her parents, Nelson and Claudia, and her siblings – at their home in Palm Beach.
Skipping the wedding will save them from an uncomfortable meeting with Brooklyn’s parents, as the two families are currently not on speaking terms.
People close to the wedding say Brooklyn, who used to be a key figure at events hosted by the Ramsay and Beckham families, will be noticeably absent.
However, Brooklyn hasn’t just distanced himself from his parents and siblings. Sources say he’s also grown apart from Jack, Gordon and Tana’s oldest son and a childhood best friend—Jack is now serving in the Marines, and sadly, their close relationship has faded.

It seems they haven’t been talking for a while. Friends of both families say the trouble started when Brooklyn began dating Nicola.
Just like Brooklyn Beckham’s parents weren’t present, Jack wasn’t at Brooklyn and Nicola’s vow renewal ceremony this summer. It’s unclear whether Brooklyn even invited Jack to Holly’s wedding, or if Jack simply wasn’t invited.
However, people close to the situation say Holly wouldn’t typically ignore him. The Ramsays generally believe in keeping a good relationship with Brooklyn and are always willing to welcome him back.
They’re really disappointed he won’t be there, especially because he used to be very close to both Holly and Jack – he and Jack were particularly close.
David and Victoria Beckham are very close to Gordon and Tana Ramsay, considering them almost like family. Their children grew up together, and Brooklyn especially enjoyed spending time with the Ramsays. Sadly, Brooklyn and Jack aren’t as close as they used to be, which is disappointing.
Gordon and Tana are also disappointed by what’s happened. They care for Brooklyn a great deal and have known him since he was a little boy.
It’s sad that Brooklyn doesn’t seem to be spending time with many of his old friends, like Holly, since he met Nicola. He’s known these people for a long time.
If Brooklyn had been present, it would have been a rather lively situation, considering his parents were also there.
News that Brooklyn won’t be attending Holly’s event follows reports that he’s blocked his parents and brother Cruz on Instagram. It’s unclear if he’s also blocked his sister, Harper, as her Instagram account is private, so it’s impossible to know if she’s been blocked too.
David and Victoria Beckham believe their son Brooklyn’s distance from them signals a total break in their relationship, especially after he and his wife, Nicola, skipped David’s 50th birthday party earlier this year following a major disagreement.
Even though they were fighting, both sides had still been friendly with each other on Instagram, constantly sharing updates through posts and videos, until recently.
According to The Sun, Brooklyn blocked his parents and little brother because his mom reacted to a video he shared of him cooking a chicken. In the video, he talked about using a beer marinade to make the chicken more flavorful.
Victoria Beckham’s recent actions led many of her and Brooklyn’s shared followers to ask them to reconcile, reportedly frustrating Brooklyn. He then blocked his mother and other family members. David Beckham responded by posting on Instagram, explaining that they hadn’t blocked Brooklyn – he had blocked them first.
People close to Brooklyn shared with us yesterday that his parents’ social media posts make him feel anxious.
Team Brooklyn states that neither he nor Nicola will forgive his parents unless they publicly apologize for their involvement in the public disagreements between the families.
Brooklyn and Nicola are thought to have shared negative stories about Victoria and David Beckham with the media, but according to one source, they’ve apparently overlooked the fact that they did so themselves.
The current conflict will likely dampen the Beckhams’ Christmas celebrations.
The couple has come to terms with the family split, but they’re heartbroken for their parents – Brooklyn’s grandparents – as he used to be very close to them.
The wedding of Alastair Ramsay and Flora Peaty is scheduled for Saturday at Bath Abbey, followed by a grand reception at Kin Hall in Wiltshire.
That too has been something of a saga – and one that is intertwined with the Beckhams.
When photos surfaced of Victoria at Holly’s bachelorette party at the upscale Soho Farmhouse in October, Adam’s mother, Caroline, was noticeably missing.
After that, things quickly deteriorated, and Adam Peaty’s mother was removed from the guest list – reportedly because Holly didn’t like the dress she planned to wear. His father and two brothers were also excluded.
Honestly, I heard the bride wasn’t thrilled with what her future mother-in-law planned to wear for the wedding. She felt it didn’t quite match the vibe she was going for, and she was so kind that she actually offered to buy her a completely new outfit! It was a really sweet gesture, I thought.
Adam, age 30, is currently estranged from his brothers, Richard and James. James was recently arrested for harassment after reportedly sending Adam unwanted messages during his bachelor party in Budapest. Of Adam’s immediate family, only his sister, Beth, is anticipated to be at the wedding.
Oh my gosh, Saturday is finally here! Holly, my Holly, is getting married! And honestly, it’s going to be… intense. Everyone knows her family and Jake’s family absolutely hate each other, and the wedding is just going to lay it all out in the open for everyone to see. It’s going to be a day, that’s for sure!
According to one source, if Brooklyn hadn’t had a falling out with his family, he likely would have attended and enjoyed the event. It’s a shame things didn’t work out that way.
Families will be families, and everyone is just looking to relax and enjoy themselves after a really tough year.
