Google launches Instant Games, bringing a collection of fun H5 games on mobile

Google has officially launched the Instant Games app, offering a collection of lightweight HTML5 (H5) games that can be played instantly without downloading. This new app is designed to provide quick and easy access to fun games directly on your Android device.
Instant Games makes Om Nom Run, Banana Run, and Chess Classic available at launch
Despite the storefront appearing quite sparse, it appears they have a variety of games available. Among the offerings within the app are well-known titles such as Stack Bounce, Om Nom Run, Banana Run, Chess Classic, Billiards Classic, and Cannon Balls 3D.
The design is neat and intuitive, featuring areas labeled “Carry On Playing” and categories for options like Puzzles, Multiplayer, and Favorites. A notable feature I noticed was the ability to play games without an internet connection, indicated by the label “Offline Play“.
As a gamer, I’ve got to say, Google’s latest platform looks like it could provide some instant fun! Back then, YouTube unveiled its collection of playable games, dubbed “Playables”. And word on the street had Uber testing something similar last year, though nothing much seemed to materialize since.
At present, it appears that the rollout is taking place in various parts of the world, such as North America (US), Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East and North Africa regions (MENA). This autumn, not only does Apple plan to introduce its own Games app, but it seems mobile gaming is poised for even more excitement! Having an easy avenue to access games is undeniably appealing and this move will certainly contribute to maintaining the entertaining nature of small screens in the future.
