A famous actress from Hollywood, best known for her role as Cinnamon Carter Crawford in the classic TV show Mission: Impossible, was recently seen out in public – a rare appearance for the star.
Barbara Bain, the Emmy-winning actress, was spotted looking stylish while grocery shopping in Beverly Hills on Thursday. She was doing the shopping herself, pushing her own cart and handling her own bags.
With sparkling earrings and a bold red lip, Bain looked effortlessly stylish while running errands.
She threw on a white blazer, polka dot trousers, and sharp footwear.
Now 94 years old, Bain acted alongside her former husband, Martin Landau, in a 1960s TV show that later served as the basis for the popular Tom Cruise movie series.
Mission: Impossible was on television from 1966 to 1973. However, actors Landau and Bain departed after the third season.
They then starred in the British-made sci-fi series ‘Space: 1999’ from 1975 to 1977.
Bain and Landau were married for 36 years, from 1957 to 1993, and have two daughters together: actress Juliet Rose Landau and Susan Landau Finch.
Bain is a celebrated actress who has won three Emmy Awards for her work on Mission: Impossible. She was also nominated for a Golden Globe in 1968.
Bain’s acting career dates back to 1958 but she first pursued a passion for dance.
Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE her story! She started out in Illinois, can you imagine? But then she just had to come to New York City, and she trained with Martha Graham – the Martha Graham! It was all dance at first, but then she decided acting was her true calling. It was such a bold move, but honestly, everything she does is just… perfect.
Bain has an extensive and notable background, and even appeared as a guest star on Perry Mason back in 1960.
She also played Dick Van Dyke’s ex-fiancée in a 1963 episode of the Dick Van Dyke Show.
Bain also contributed to well-known shows like My So-Called Life, Murder, She Wrote, and Moonlighting, among others.
Beginning her acting career in 1958, she continues to work today, and will soon be featured in the new drama, When the Voiceless Roar.
Rebecca Bain has had a significant impact on her fans, going beyond simply providing entertainment. She later shared that her part in Mission: Impossible motivated many women to continue their education.
She explained that there weren’t any female role models like her on TV at the time. She received letters from young women who said watching her on Mission: Impossible inspired them to pursue careers and get college degrees, something they hadn’t considered before, as she shared with Classic Film TV Cafe in 2019.
I’ve received a lot of comments like that over the years. Just recently, a retired NASA employee wrote to me saying that seeing me in Mission: Impossible inspired her to follow her dreams.
