Sunny Long’s daughter is defending her mother after racist online attacks. She’s publicly responding to the trolls who are targeting her mother following her appearance on The Golden Bachelor.
Chloe, who is a social media influencer and podcaster, shared on TikTok that her mother has been receiving a lot of hateful comments since becoming a public figure. She posted about this after Monday’s episode.
Growing up in Australia with a mother from Asia, I’ve witnessed her face a lot of racism. So, when she decided to be on the show, I was really worried about how the contestants and the public might react,” Chloe explained, her voice filled with emotion.
‘And it’s just worse than I could have imagined,’ she said gravely.
Honestly, I was so furious when I heard Chloe call out Channel Nine! It’s just awful how they let all those hateful comments flood their social media – they clearly aren’t doing anything to stop it, and it’s just letting the negativity spiral. It’s like they don’t even care about the impact it has on people, and Chloe was right to call them out on it! It makes me so mad just thinking about it.
She claimed she expected Channel 9 to step in and remove inappropriate comments. She found it surprising that highly-liked, yet offensive, comments were allowed to remain visible on the platform.

Chloe added that the situation was unacceptable. She pointed out that older white people, unfortunately, are more likely to hold racist views, and she wished she had anticipated that.
She was furious, visibly shaking with anger. “It’s just awful,” she said, finishing with, “I truly hate it.”
Chloe and her sister Penny were briefly shown on Monday’s episode when Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden met with Chloe’s mother in Sydney.
During an uncomfortable moment, Sunny jokingly called Bear her ‘boyfriend’. He playfully suggested she was getting ahead of herself.
The sisters weren’t convinced, so they spoke to Bear privately and asked him directly if he felt threatened by women who were assertive and spoke their minds.
Chloe then asks Bear whether he is a feminist, to which he replies: ‘No’.
Chloe stated firmly, ‘That’s it – I’m completely done with him. I don’t like him at all anymore, no matter what he tries to say.’
It turned out Bear hadn’t grasped the question at first, but after someone explained feminism to him, he revised his answer and ultimately convinced everyone.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Channel Nine for comment.
Bear picked his final two ladies on Monday’s episode of The Golden Bachelor.
Kim, age 60, was unexpectedly eliminated just before the final Rose Ceremony, leaving Sunny and Janette as the last two contestants competing for Bear’s affection.
The doctor from Queensland was clearly upset about having to leave the show, especially since she had started to develop feelings for the Golden Bachelor.
With tears in her eyes, Janette confessed she was feeling deeply sad because she was ready for a relationship and to move forward with her life, but the person she wanted wouldn’t commit.
She said she needed some time to recover, but remained optimistic. She hoped to eventually find what she was seeking, and considered the experience a worthwhile effort.
