Gogglebox star Sue Sheehan breaks her silence after Bell’s palsy diagnosis and reveals devastating side effects
As someone who has spent countless hours glued to the screen, watching the comforting and entertaining world of Gogglebox, I must say that my admiration for these individuals, like Sue Sheehan, has only grown deeper. The courage and resilience she displayed during her Bell’s palsy diagnosis is nothing short of inspiring.
On Friday evening during their Channel 4 appearance, Gogglebox star Sue Sheehan spoke up for the first time about her Bell’s Palsy condition.
Sue, along with her spouse Steve, who reside in South London, made an appearance on the popular program, having been missing from more recent episodes.
Sue frankly shared insights on the impacts of Bell’s Palsy, a condition that temporarily affects muscle strength or movement on one half of the face due to facial nerve inflammation.
She explained: ‘I mean, I’ve had to relearn to do a couple of things since this Bell’s palsy’.
One method involves speaking with the corner of your mouth, while another requires chewing. The latter can take quite some time.
Steve mentioned, “I suggested I could munch on your food for you, but you refused it. However, I must admit, you still haven’t softened your quick wit, right?
‘No, it’s sharper than ever actually,’ Sue jokingly responded.
Enthusiasts swiftly flocked to what was once called Twitter, now known as X, to express their good wishes towards Sue, with some acknowledging her efforts in increasing awareness.
