Gogglebox star Ellie Warner reveals her hair salon in Leeds has been robbed in ‘bizarre’ burglary as she pleads for help from her followers

The CCTV footage released on Instagram paints a stark picture of an intruder who spent over 40 minutes inside the salon, taking items that were mostly second-hand and of sentimental value.

Ellie Warner from “Gogglebox” shared that her hair salon situated in Leeds was burglarized. She asked her fans for assistance in identifying the thief.

On Instagram, both the television personality and hairstylist posted two pictures; these images contained security camera footage of a burglar entering their salon on a recent Tuesday morning.

Ellie described the burglary as unusual. The thief didn’t make off with expensive items from the salon, but rather made away with second-hand hairdressing tools instead.

Ellie captioned her post: ‘He broke in to our salon in Leeds city centre at 4am on Tuesday morning.

‘He spent 40 minutes to enter the salon and stole the most random things.

“He grabbed a few kit bags belonging to some people, filled with inexpensive yet hard-to-replace hairdressing tools and items of personal significance.”

“The harm he inflicted on the building exceeded the worth of the stolen goods; this was an unusually strange burglary.”

TopMob has contacted a representative for West Yorkshire Police for comment. 

In March 2024, Ellie shared that she had gone back to work as a hairdresser for the initial time since the birth of her child Ezra in May 2023.

Tagging her other business account, she captioned the post: ‘@elliewarnerhair first day back.’

After being a regular on the show for eight long years, Ellie seemed absolutely thrilled to be returning to work at Tint in Leeds. She was pictured donning an apron and a short white jacket during her time there.

With a radiant grin on her face, she prepared herself for the day by placing a cup of coffee and a Ribena drink on the table.

Since 2009, the beloved figure from Gogglebox, frequently seen with her sister Izzy on the show, has been a qualified hairdresser. More recently, she has gained recognition for her expertise in coloring hair.

Last June, Ezra, Ellie’s newborn son, made his first appearance on Channel 4’s show. He quickly stole the limelight during the September episode with his unforgettable debut.

During the opening scene, the little one surprise-defecated on Ellie, leaving her shocked, alongside her boyfriend Nat Eddleston.

With her sister Izzi, who is 27 years old, and holding Ezra on her lap, things suddenly took an unpleasant odor.

Izzie remarked, “I could hear it splashing noises,” making Ellie confess in disgust, “Yes, he’s definitely having a bowel movement.”

When I would hear baby Ezra let out a soft rumble, I, as an overjoyed and amused spectator, couldn’t suppress my giggles alongside Ezra’s mom and auntie.

They then asked the little one: ‘Is that funny?’ Before adding: ‘Does that feel nice?’

I couldn’t contain my excitement when Ellie shared the amazing news on the show in June, revealing that she and her boyfriend Nat had welcomed their first child into the world! As she proudly presented her little bundle of joy to her sister Izzi for a loving embrace, I could only imagine the joy and happiness that filled their hearts. What an incredible moment it must have been for them!
