On July 3rd, 2025, I dived back into the world of Goddess of Victory: NIKKE with their latest update, “Over the Horizon”. This exciting update introduced a brand-new SSR character to my roster, re-ran the collaboration with NieR:Automata, and dropped a plethora of new costumes, events, and other goodies for me to collect and enjoy.

This update keeps the summer celebration going by offering themed outfits, login incentives, and new story missions for your entertainment during the entire month. Here’s a comprehensive look at all the features included in the Over the Horizon story update.

Goddess of Victory: NIKKE ‘Over the Horizon’ Event and Update Overview

New SSR Character: Sora

In this update, SSR Sora is introduced as a fresh Ally, who employs a rocket launcher for healing and removing negative effects. This character belongs to the Over the Horizon team and boasts strong support capabilities. They are armed with the Turbulence weapon.

From now until July 17, 2025, I’m thrilled to let you know that she can be a part of your team by recruiting her from the Special Recruit banner! And here’s an exciting bonus: Accumulate 200 Gold Mileage Tickets, and you’ll have the chance to exchange for her too!

Character Re-runs

If you didn’t secure SSR Eve previously, you now have an extended opportunity; her recruitment period has been prolonged until July 10. Moreover, for enthusiasts of the NieR:Automata crossover, both characters 2B and A2 are reappearing. Their respective banners will remain active until July 31, with A2’s recruitment commencing on July 10, 2025.

Remember not to overlook Pascal as well. This Support Role character aids your team with healing abilities and can be acquired during the Nier:Automata event, which you can participate in just by playing.

Themed Costumes

This summer season is filled with a strong, vibrant atmosphere, and there are fresh outfits for your beloved characters. You can obtain 2B’s “YoRHa Unofficial Waterfront Gear I” using the Secret Summer Ticket, while A2 gets a complimentary set of swimsuit-style clothing from the Silent Oasis Login Reward Event.

Privaty will receive a special limited-time summer outfit titled “Destined in Blue” simply by logging in during the ongoing “BLOOMING LETTER” event. If you’ve missed out on some previous NieR costumes, here’s your opportunity to reacquire them once more.

Costumes similar to 2B’s initial YoRHa uniform and A2’s prototype equipment are being reintroduced, with some available through gacha draws and others for purchase directly from the shop. Additionally, if you have already acquired collaboration characters, their Metamorphic Damage versions can be unlocked by taking on challenges in the OuteR:Automata missions, making it worth revisiting those quests.

Mini Games, Gameplay Updates, and New Archive Entry

In this return from its previous appearance, the mini-game inspired by hacking from the original NieR:Automata has come back and will be playable until July 31st. This offers a delightful opportunity to gather additional prizes as you take a relaxing detour from regular fighting action.

Furthermore, a new entry titled “The Colorless Story Event” has been included in the archive collection, and from now on, you’ll be able to unlock memories from “Beyond the Horizon” within this section, allowing you to revisit the story highlights.

Events, Rewards, and Other Additions

In the ongoing tale titled “Over the Horizon,” which lasts till July 17th, embark on an exhilarating voyage of flight training filled with demanding tasks. As you progress, collect development resources, unravel the evolving narrative, and assess your teams during combat encounters.

Simultaneously, the “OuteR:Automata” re-run presents a vast, open world for you to traverse, filled with numerous gem prizes, distinctive relics, and challenging boss battles in the “Trial Levels”. Additionally, multiple login events are currently active.

As a dedicated gamer, I make sure to log in every day during the 21-day Silent Oasis event and the 7-day Check In for some sweet rewards in the form of materials and costumes. And let’s not forget about the Bloomling Letter event happening just once a day – it’s your chance to grab Privaty’s stylish swimsuit costume! Don’t miss out on these awesome opportunities!

Additionally, there are numerous battle-related tasks ahead. The Union Raid commences on the 11th of July, so ensure your union is prepared by then. A Coordinated Operation featuring a cooperative boss fight takes place from the 11th to the 13th of July, while Solo Raid Season 26 concludes on the 10th. If you’re an accomplished SP Arena player, the Champion Arena Beta Season 7 begins on the 3rd of July.
