Gloria Hunniford Rushed to Hospital After Shocking Fall Forces Bake Off Exit
Gloria Hunniford disclosed the surprising explanation behind her unexpected departure from Celebrity British Bake Off during an episode, following the program’s broadcast on Sunday.
Instead of “The iconic TV host, 85, withdrew just before the climactic performance, with host Alison Hammond informing the other celebrities that she wasn’t feeling well,” you could say:
“At the last moment, the legendary TV host, who is 85 years old, decided to step away from the grand finale. Alison Hammond, the host, then shared with the other celebrities that she hadn’t been feeling well.
It turns out that Gloria suffered a serious fall backstage, which required immediate medical attention and transport to the hospital for examination.
She shared with The Mirror, “At the conclusion of the show, I suffered a bad fall and wasn’t able to complete it.” Previously, she had disclosed that she agreed to participate in the Stand Up To Cancer special in memory of her late daughter, Caron Keating.
Gloria later reassured her fans, letting them know she was back to good health following her recovery from an incident that took place during filming last summer.
In tribute to her deceased father, who belonged to the Magic Circle, the beloved figure from Loose Women created a “magic-themed cake.

Regarding her impressive creation, she mentioned, “I found my dice cake quite appealing! Frankly, I think it turned out fantastic, given that I was baking for the very first time.
The idea behind the presentation stemmed from my father, and it was a favorite recipe of mine, passed down by my mother. I perfected it at home and presented it to my son for his birthday, making it a fitting tribute to our family. Although I didn’t necessarily expect to win, I was extremely proud of it.
After leaving, Alison shared with Jim Howick, 45 (the weekly Star Baker), along with Jamali Maddix, 33, and Ellie Goldstein, 23, the unfortunate news she had received.
Let’s acknowledge upfront that Gloria isn’t present today as she’s not feeling well. However, she asked us to proceed with the event nonetheless.
It was an egg-free four layer chocolate cake, filled with golden syrup and vanilla filling.
While Noel Fielding provided constructive comments about the cake, Paul Hollywood chimed in, saying, “I appreciate the idea behind it. It’s being carried out exceptionally well.
‘Such a shame Gloria wasn’t feeling very well and wasn’t able to tell the story,’ Alison quipped.
Earlier on, Gloria expressed her feelings about being involved in the show, saying: ‘Sadly, I lost my daughter to cancer. There is nothing more devastating than losing a child.’

Experiencing the loss of a child is one of the most devastating events a woman can face, as she will never have the opportunity to nurture and cherish a new life inside her for nine months, or to welcome that baby into the world, nor will she be able to enjoy the love they share without it leaving an indelible mark.
‘It’s so tragic when you lose that child.
Returning favor or giving back holds great healing power since it’s done with the memory of someone cherished, whom you still hold dear despite their absence. This thought is constantly present in my mind, and it significantly influences my everyday actions.
‘When you do something positive against something so deeply negative, it’s very healing.
She was an exceptionally charming young lady, possessing a wonderful wit. Among all women in the world, she was the one I enjoyed conversing with the most.
This month, Kate Garraway was named “Star Baker” on the Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer following a well-deserved handshake from Paul Hollywood.
57-year-old popular host was left speechless following Noel Fielding’s announcement of delightful news after a tough baking contest.

The cherished presenter, 57, couldn’t find words after Noel Fielding shared exciting news post the challenging baking competition.
As I stood there, slightly taken aback, I found myself uttering a soft “What?” when Noel, at the ripe age of 51, bestowed upon me the prestigious Star Baker apron on Good Morning Britain.
Kate exclaimed with joy, finding it hard to hold back her enthusiasm, ‘I can hardly believe it! This is simply the best day of my life!’
However, there were more reasons to chuckle during the program. The broadcaster was taken aback when Paul Hollywood unexpectedly offered his handshake after she completed her initial bake, a moment that earned her the prestigious recognition.
On Channel 4, a cooking show is featuring Alison Hammond (age 50) and Noel as hosts, inviting four fresh talents for the Stand Up To Cancer edition. The judges, including Paul (age 59), and a new judge, Caroline Waldegrave (age 72), will evaluate their efforts.
