Glen Powell and Edgar Wright’s new take on Stephen King’s The Running Man—originally a popular 1980s film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger—is now available to stream in the UK after finishing its time in theaters. (And yes, the title is a bit of a joke!)
The movie can be purchased from digital storefronts such as Prime Video and Apple TV for £13.99.
It should be noted that there’s no 48-hour rental option at the time of writing.

In the US, you can watch the film on Paramount+, but it’s not currently available to stream here.
And for those of you wanting the film on disc, HMV has the release date listed as 2 March.

If you’re not familiar with it, The Running Man takes place in a future where a powerful company controls all aspects of life.
I’m totally hooked on this new book! It’s about a guy named Ben who gets thrown into this insane reality show – basically, it’s a 30-day fight for survival against professional assassins and the public, all while being broadcast everywhere. The prize? A billion dollars! It’s a crazy premise, and I can’t wait to see if he makes it.
The movie wasn’t financially successful, earning only about $69 million worldwide despite costing $110 million to make.

The film received generally positive reviews, scoring 63% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and 78% from over 2,500 viewers.
I really enjoyed it as a fun, action-packed movie! But, according to the Seattle Times, when it tries to say something about America and what it could become, it doesn’t quite land – it kind of fumbles the message, honestly.
I checked out the game, and honestly, it’s a blast and runs surprisingly smoothly! But, they toned down some of Stephen King’s more… direct opinions, which is a little disappointing. It feels like they softened the edges of his personality a bit.
I thought The Telegraph‘s review really hit the nail on the head – they called the movie ‘exhilarating’! But they also pointed out something interesting: it felt a little different from Edgar Wright’s usual style, almost like he was taking on a project where he was just the director, and not necessarily driving every creative decision. It wasn’t a criticism, though – they said it in a positive way!
The Running Man can be bought digitally now.
The latest issue of Living Legends is now available, and this edition celebrates the incredible Dolly Parton! You can purchase ‘Dolly at 80’ at newsagents or online for only £8.99.
