Glen Powell‘s new Hulu comedy Chad Powers has released its first teaser.

In the forthcoming series, the star of “Top Gun: Maverick” portrays Russ Holliday, a former American college football player who was expelled from the team due to misconduct.

Eagerly seeking another opportunity, Russ decides to don a disguise and join a struggling football team from the South, adopting the alias Chad Powers.

In a fresh sneak peek for the show, posted online, we see Russ undergoing a transformation into Chad using makeup, then striding onto the field.

“I got something coming up,” he says. “Something kinda big.”

Apart from playing the lead role in “Chad Powers”, Powell also contributes as a co-writer and executive producer, working alongside Michael Waldron, famous for creating “Loki”.

The comedy series inspired by Eli Manning’s popular ESPN+ skit is scheduled for release on Hulu in the fall of 2025.

In other news, Powell has been tapped for the upcoming movie titled “Homewreckers“, a project characterized as an erotic thriller with a science fiction edge, drawing comparisons to films such as “9 1/2 Weeks, Ex Machina ” and “Fatal Attraction“.

Powell will be involved in a reboot of the 1978 comedy “Heaven Can Wait,” as well as an unnamed movie directed by JJ Abrams, who is known for directing “Star Trek.

Additionally, he playfully hinted at having a fixed appointment for the shooting of Top Gun 3, yet he didn’t disclose any further details.

Chad Powers will premiere on Hulu in 2025.
