Glastonbury fans brand Nile Rogers and Chic the ‘best act they’ve seen in years’ at Worthy Farm as he leads performers on final day of festival
Fans of Glastonbury raved that Nile Rodgers and Chic were “simply exceptional” during their performance on Sunday, capping off the last day of the festival with a show they considered one of the best in years.
In the 1970s, a legendary figure aged 72, famous for songs like “Le Freak” and “Everybody Dance,” performed on the Pyramid Stage following Rod Stewart’s spot in the Legends segment.
However, spectators promptly applauded Rogers’ rhythmic performance, insisting that it deserved a headlining spot in this year’s lineup.
This year, the festival known as Glastonbury made its comeback at Worthy Farm, located in Somerset. Headlining acts included The 1975, Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo.
On the last day of the festival this coming Sunday, artists such as Wolf Alice, Snow Patrol, and Noah Kahan will be performing live.
Moreover, Fat Boy Slim (whose real name is Norman Quentin Cook) recently shared on Instagram that this performance marks his 100th time gracing the stage at Glastonbury.

Fat Boy Slim expressed: ‘This is my 100th performance. I appreciate your hospitality. Let Alan Carr let you know our location… We’re at GLASTONBURY ♥️.’
Simultaneously, Annie Clark, better known as St. Vincent, graced the Woodsies Stage with her All Born Screaming concert tour.
Day four of this amazing festival found me beaming with gratitude,” I exclaimed to the throng, “I can’t quite fathom where your energy is coming from, but I’m yearning to join you in this incredible journey, my friends.
At The Other Stage, countless individuals embraced their dearest friends and shouted “us two” while Wolf Alice performed the friend-centric anthem titled “Bros.
At the 2-o’clock hour, The Libertines graced the Pyramid Stage once more during the festival, performing “Up the Bracket,” the main track from their first studio album released in 2002.
Sir Rod was accompanied on stage by three esteemed musicians during an energizing show; these included his ex-bandmate from The Faces, Ronnie Wood, as well as Mick Hucknall of Simply Red and the renowned Scottish vocalist Lulu.
Additionally, the festival’s creator, Sir Michael Eavis, made an appearance, being pushed onto the stage by his daughter and event organizer, Emily Eavis.
Hucknall, 65, was welcomed on stage for a rendition of Simply Red hit If You Don’t Know Me By Now.

In a nostalgic moment, Sir Rod stepped onto the stage next, belting out the Faces’ 1971 classic “Stay With Me”, as Mick Jagger, now 78, strummed his guitar alongside him.
Next, Lulu gracefully appeared, attired in a full-white outfit, to join Sir Rod and Wood in performing the song “Hot Legs.
Following Rod’s act, it was Rogers who then graced the stage, leaving Glastonbury spectators utterly amazed during his show.
On social media, they posted: ‘At Glastonbury, Nile Rodgers was phenomenal – hands down the best performance of the year so far!’

On Sunday, it was soul singer Celeste from Britain who started off the performances at the Pyramid Stage, followed by the rock group The Libertines taking over.
Distinct performances were delivered by the British funk collective Cymande, American vocalist Shaboozey, and the Australian duo Royel Otis.
