Gladiator Star’s Heartbreak: Son Leo’s Death & Life’s Mission to Inspire Kids’ Health
Steel, a star from the Gladiators series, dedicated his life to encouraging and nurturing children’s health until he shared the heartbreaking news that his newborn son, Leo, had passed away prematurely.
On Tuesday, it was deeply sad to hear that Zack George, who has a two-year-old daughter named Ivy with his spouse Samantha, shared the devastating news that their son Leo had tragically passed away after 23 weeks.
On Wednesday, the dedicated fitness enthusiast shared a deeply emotional video featuring Leo lying beside him, accompanied by a poignant message emphasizing ‘resilience’ instead of ‘strength’.
He wrote: ‘Now, I perceive strength in a new light. Typically, when asked about my strength, I’d respond with figures from my squat, bench press, or past records.
Currently, I would respond quite differently. Strength lies in embracing my small, cherished son, even as it shatters my heart yet heals him.
Through a lifelong commitment to aiding children, he frequently paid visits to primary schools where he imparted knowledge on fostering positivity, health, and happiness among the students.

He shared with the BBC that he is deeply enthusiastic about teaching children the importance of balanced nutrition, physical activity, and maintaining a positive mental outlook.
As a passionate advocate, I joined forces to establish an endeavor that prioritizes the enhancement of health and wellness within schools throughout the United Kingdom. This project involves conducting engaging workshops catered to kids ranging from three to 16 years old.
He mentioned that among the children attending the workshops, some seem to struggle with self-confidence. They keep their eyes down, slouch slightly, and speak very softly.
At last, their postures are erect with upturned chests, straightened spines, and genuine smiles on their faces – which truly justifies our efforts. It’s crucial that we make the most of the resources available to us by using them for a noble purpose.
In March, Zack announced that his wife, Samantha, had an early delivery, and their baby boy was putting up a daily struggle to live.
On Tuesday, Zack shared the heartbreaking news about his son passing away on Instagram, saying: “It was your mother who welcomed you to this life, and it was me who cradled you as you departed.
‘Leo…… you showed us what the true definition of strength is and we are so proud of you.
‘Your presence here was a beacon of positivity, touching many lives during your brief stay. We’ve truly appreciated and felt the overflow of your positive energy. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.’

Zack went on to say: “Though your stay was brief, you filled our lives with an eternal amount of love. We’re grateful that you showed us you were ready to step away from the struggle.
“Forever thankful, it was not upon us to face that choice for you, dear Leo, our cherished lion. Our affection for you transcends comprehension, sweet boy. May your rest be peaceful.
Previously, Samantha posted an update on a Sunday afternoon, she shared a heartwarming picture of Leo’s little hand placed on one of her fingers, and later on, Zack reposted it from his own account.
She penned in the caption: ‘Thank you everyone for your kind words and premature baby stories.
‘Please keep them coming… they are giving us so much hope for our precious Leo.’
7 months prior to the devastating infant loss, the pair found themselves basking in a blissful state of happiness as they exchanged vows during a charming, small-scale wedding ceremony, living out their dreams.
Prior to his rise to prominence, Zack openly shared about his struggle with a “predilection for fast food” and underwent an astonishing physical makeover.
Previously, he confided to The Sun that his lifestyle had been far from healthy. He essentially lived on chocolate and frequented McDonald’s and KFC, consuming a family-sized bucket nearly five times per week. The more fast food he consumed, the stronger his cravings grew. It was a self-perpetuating cycle of unhealthy indulgence.
Carrying excess weight can make you feel quite uncomfortable. You might not have the energy or ability to walk or run for long distances, which reduces your motivation to engage in physical activities. Instead, you may find yourself frequently turning to quick, convenient meals like fast food.
