As a die-hard fan of Coronation Street, I am genuinely excited about this year’s I’m A Celebrity lineup! With actors like Alan Halsall, who has played Tyrone Dobbs for over 20 years on the show, it feels like stepping into the world of Weatherfield itself.

On Monday, GK Barry was the fifth celebrity to arrive at Brisbane Airport before this year’s “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here” show.

N-Dubz singer Tulis Contostavlos, McFly star Danny Jones and Coronation Street legend Alan Halsall all arrived in Australia over the weekend ahead of their stint on I’m A Celeb.

32-year-old radio personality Dean, originally from Northern Ireland, currently hosts a weekday early morning program on BBC Radio 1. He began his career alongside Emma Goswell at Gaydio.

After wrapping up a lengthy 24-hour journey, I found myself beaming ear to ear upon my arrival at the airport, clad in a vibrant green tracksuit that added a pop of color to an otherwise monotonous day.

Upon landing in Australia, Dean expressed: “It’s my very first visit to this country! I’m here to receive two koalas that I have adopted – one is black, while the other is white.

And in a nod to the show’s longtime hosts he added: ‘They’re called Anthony and Declan.’

Responding to the question about his readiness for the journey, the radio personality casually mentioned: “I should be fine. I’ve handled quite a few snakes throughout my life.

In 2020 his career took off when he filled in for Clara Amfo on BBC Radio 1 for two days.

After that, he took over Jordan North’s weekend slot (from Friday to Sunday) between 10:30 am and 1 pm, and now he works out of Salford’s Media City.

2022 saw a change in the hosting team for Radio 1’s afternoon program. Previously hosted by Scott Mills and Chris Stark, the roles were now taken over by Dean and Vicky Hawkesworth. This marked the first time that Radio 1’s show was broadcast from a location outside London.

Apart from his appearance on the single season of “Young, Free, and Single Live,” hosted by Steve Jones on E4 at 9 PM every Thursday evening, he has not been featured on any other television programs.

Previously known as an X Factor judge, Tulisa, aged 36, took a step back from public view in 2013 due to several scandals. Fast forward ten years, she’s back on stage with N-Dubz and is reportedly set to return to reality TV, potentially appearing on ITV’s popular show.

Underneath the Land of Kangaroos, the renowned pop star maintained a discreet presence amidst the bustling masses. She concealed her persona under a complete gray tracksuit, wore a mask, and kept her gaze fixed on the ground as she moved along.

Following her long 22-hour flight, she inquired if there was a McDonald’s nearby, and commented that a Big Mac would be a safe choice.

38-year-old Danny showed up alongside the previous winner of “King of the Jungle,” Sam Thompson, ex-contestant Joel Dommett, and radio personality Kemi Rogers, who are leading the follow-up series titled “I’m a Celebrity… Unzipped.

On his journey, Danny departed from Heathrow Airport. He had a stopover in Singapore before continuing on a 22-hour flight. Dressed comfortably in an Oasis T-shirt and carrying a guitar in his baggage, he presented a relaxed and laid-back appearance throughout the long flight.

As a devoted admirer following the path of the I’m A Celebrity contestants, I found myself caught in the midst of an intense storm that seemed determined to steer our flight towards Sydney Airport off course.

However, amongst the spin-off hosts of the show – Danny, Sam, Joel, and Kemi – were among the few who safely landed in Brisbane without any complications. All other flights were forced to deviate for an additional 1 hour and 35 minutes.

In a rather turbulent journey for the passengers, the aircraft found itself hovering over the runway momentarily prior to its safe landing. Danny communicated to TopMob: “The flight was quite rough, with some unexpected turbulence and a few nerve-wracking moments.

Danny is taking a path similar to that of his ex-bandmate Dougie Poynter, who emerged victorious in the competition back in 2011.

When asked about participating in the show, TopMob Danny didn’t explicitly say yes, instead he humorously mentioned that he had grand ideas for his time in Australia: ‘I plan on recording a solo album. I’ll be surfing and making an album, but the McFly guys aren’t aware of it yet.’

Even with a knee injury potentially keeping him away, Coronation Street’s Alan still managed to be the second celebrity to touch down at Brisbane Airport.

Last year’s series saw the 42-year-old actor, renowned for his role as Tyrone Dobbs on the ITV soap opera, withdraw due to a recurrence of the very knee injury that had previously caused him to step back.

In November last year, a person with one child had significant knee surgery and was informed by medical professionals that his recovery might take as long as a full year.

The operation involves rebuilding the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), which is done by taking out the torn ligament and using a tendon from elsewhere in the leg to replace it.

On Friday, there were reports that a cast member from Coronation Street had to withdraw from a padel tournament due to a knee problem, sparking rumors that he might not be able to participate in the Jungle.

According to a source, Alan was supposed to participate in a padel tournament but had to back out at the last second due to discomfort in his knee.

I’m absolutely on edge about the situation, but for now, everything seems alright. However, he needs to tread very carefully as there’s a chance he might miss out on some of the trials. The higher-ups are in the midst of deciding whether certain restrictions will apply to him.

It’s quite a setback for Alan, as he had been eagerly anticipating immersing himself in the task, but now needs to exercise caution instead.

Upon landing in Australia, Alan adhered to ITV’s stringent guidelines by refraining from mentioning his involvement in I’m A Celebrity until the announced line-up. He maintained that his trip was solely for a golfing vacation.

He told TopMob: ‘Not sure what all the fuss is about, I’m here on a golfing holiday. It’s a long way to travel for a golfing holiday but I’m an avid fan.’

In response to being questioned about Andy Whyment’s experience on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, he quipped, “I won’t heed any suggestions from Andy! My strategy is to live it up with lavish comforts during my stay.
