Gisele Bundchen Turns Down Met Gala for Baby Time

Gisele Bundchen has rejected the highly coveted Met Gala invite for May it has been claimed.

This setback significantly impacts the annual fashion show in New York City, as numerous high-end fashion designers express interest in dressing the Brazilian supermodel.

But the 44-year-old beauty has a very personal reason for saying no to the glam affair.

As reported by TMZ, the woman prefers to be at home with her newly arrived baby, who was born with her partner Joaquim Valente, who is 37 years old.

It was anticipated that Gisele would walk the red carpet alongside Valente at the gala, but according to reports, this will not take place.

In past years, Gisele has had her husband Tom Brady on her arm, but they divorced in 2022.

This is the third child for the Brazilian supermodel who hails from Horizontina, Brazil. 

Gisele also has daughter Vivian Lake, 11, and son Benjamin Rein, 15, with ex-husband Brady, 47.

It’s not yet certain when Gisele and Joaquim had their child, however, reports suggesting for publication indicate that it happened quite recently.

Bundchen was first linked to Valente in June 2023, a year after her divorce from Brady.

The Met Gala serves as both the grand debut event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s yearly fashion showcase (which varies each year) and a means to raise funds for its Costume Institute.

The title of the 2025 exhibition is “Superbly Crafted: Customizing Black Fashion,” and the dress code is referred to as “Dress to Impress.

The exhibition has been divided into 12 distinct segments, each embodying a key aspect that encapsulates the essence of dandy fashion: Possessions, Aura, Individuality, Masquerade, Autonomy, Advocacy, Decorum, Social Space (a term derived from Zora Neale Hurston’s “Characteristics of Negro Expression,” serving as a crucial reference for this exhibition, referring to social activities like dancing and drinking), Heritage, Attractiveness, Nonchalance, and Worldliness.

This claim comes after Gisele appeared in her first ad campaign since welcoming her third child.

Gisele Bundchen showcased the spring line for the Swedish-German brand Marc O’Polo, which was established in 1967.

The beach photoshoot probably took place during the early stages of the Brazilian model’s pregnancy, as there was no noticeable baby bump at that time.

In one picture, the seasoned catwalk model went braless, wearing an open shirt, while in another photo, the sun-kissed celebrity also chose to go braless, donning a tank top.

The cover girl is said to be feeling ‘freer’ since beginning her relationship with Valente.

In the year 2022, the renowned model decided to part ways with her husband Tom, marking the end of their 13-year union. They shared two beautiful children together. Recently, it has been reported that she had felt overshadowed by Tom for a significant period.

An insider made the comment to Page Six.

Gisele and Joaquim began a romantic relationship in June 2023, choosing to keep their personal life private following the birth of their first child, which occurred in early February.

According to Page Six, Gisele is expressing appreciation for the relationship she shared with Tom, the former New England Patriots quarterback.

But the insider stressed the model ‘feels freer’ with her jiu-jitsu trainer boyfriend.

In my own words, I’d say, “I am thoroughly enjoying this fresh phase in my life, just as Leonardo DiCaprio’s former girlfriend has expressed.

The representatives for both Brady and Bundchen haven’t yet provided a response to our request for a comment from Page Six.

According to earlier reports, Tom was taken aback when he found out that Gisele was expecting a child with Joaquim.

A source revealed: ‘Tom had an understanding that Gisele and Joaquim’s relationship was significant, yet he didn’t envision them starting a family together.’

He hadn’t given it much thought before. Therefore, when Gisele shared the news with him, he was taken aback, to put it mildly.

Although initially taken aback, Tom, now an NFL broadcaster for Fox Sports, extended his congratulations to his former spouse upon hearing about the baby’s birth.

A source close to the NFL hero said he is happy for Gisele and wishes her ‘nothing but the best’.
