Gisele Bundchen gives rare look at baby son with boyfriend Joaquim Valente as she celebrates 45th birthday

On Wednesday, Gisele Bündchen offered a seldom-seen peek at her little boy to her 22.9 million Instagram fans.

She divides care for the baby, approximately five months old, with her Brazilian jiu-jitsu mentor-turned-beau, Joaquim Valente.

In a delightful snapshot captured outdoors in Rio Grande do Sul, the heartwarming scene showed a young child, seemingly from Brazil, sitting snugly on his mother’s lap. The picture exuded cuteness and warmth.

After recently taking a daring step during a walk near her home in Florida with her son, she decided to explore areas south of the border instead.

Gisele’s as-yet unnamed son was present as she celebrated her 45th birthday, surrounded by her relatives.

Among them was her twin sister Patricia, who smiled brightly as they stood together with Gisele, both holding identical birthday cakes. Their birthdays fall on July 20, but Gisele pointed out in a tribute that their mother’s birthday was also on July 23 – the same day she posted the picture.

The birthday festivities were held amidst a beautiful forest backdrop, where the supermodel posted another captivating picture showing her holding her baby son securely attached to her, traversing the wilderness towards a breathtaking waterfall in the distance.

Although Gisele’s son (whose middle name is said to be ‘River’) was too young to buy his mom a gift, he managed to express his love for her by making a heartfelt card with some assistance.

In Brazilian Portuguese, the catwalk star added a heartwarming message ‘Feliz Aniversário Mãe!!!’ along with her son’s adorable footprint as a signature. This charming imprint seemed to have been made using burgundy paint, or perhaps it was smeared from some sweet jam or berry purée.

As a devoted follower, I have two older kids, my son Benjamin, aged 15, and my daughter Vivian, who’s 12, that I share with my former spouse, Tom Brady.

Apart from that, she is the stepmother of seventeen-year-old Jack, who is shared with his father, Bridget Moynahan, by her previous partner.

In another snapshot capturing Gisele’s nature adventures, she can be seen holding the arm of a young girl, who suddenly emerged as Vivian.

They stopped to admire a smaller waterfall tucked away in the trees.

Gisele revealed that her boyfriend Joaquim had joined her for the family trip. 

He positioned himself beside her, cradling their child – who once more concealed his features beneath a white heart – while they all smiled for a group picture taken outside at a spacious dining table on a timber balcony.

Nestled among her photographs was an exquisite black-and-white portrait of Gisele’s mother, Vânia Nonnenmacher, who bears a striking resemblance to her.

Gisele posted: ‘I’ve not been here often, but I felt compelled to express my gratitude for your heartwarming birthday greetings. It fills me with immense joy to celebrate another year of life, especially amidst the beauty of nature and enveloped by love and family.’

Today, not only am I celebrating my own day, but it’s also my mom’s birthday. Although her physical presence is deeply missed, we find comfort in knowing she remains with us in spirit. Life may be challenging at times, yet I choose to embrace it wholeheartedly, fostering a sense of gratitude for all the joyous moments that lie ahead. Sending love to all ❤️.

The Brazilian model’s mother died at age 75 in January 2024 from cancer.

In more recent times, Gisele has dedicated herself to nurturing her family following her retirement from the catwalk in 2016.

In May, she shared that her life had grown more stable once more following the arrival of her son in February.

She told Vogue France in May that since her child now sleeps soundly all night, she has resumed managing her daily schedule once more.

‘Just like all new mothers understand, the amount of sleep – or rather, the lack of it – can transform everything significantly. Yet, I find myself feeling incredibly thankful: having the opportunity to be at home with my children and cherish each moment together is invaluable.’

In 2021, Gisele started a professional connection with Joachim as they both became involved in jiu-jitsu training at the center he manages together with his brother, where she enrolled along with her kids.

Then, in October 2022, she and her husband Tom announced that they were divorcing. 

In the midst of controversy, Gisele and Joaquim found themselves at the center of a scandal as they were spotted vacationing together in Costa Rica in November 2022, a mere fortnight after the swift conclusion of her divorce proceedings.

Instead, she firmly asserted that she had never been involved in an affair with the 35-year-old martial arts instructor while married to the football star for 13 years.
