Girls Aloud put on showstopping performance in shimmering gold outfits as they take to the stage at Brighton Pride
As a devoted fan of Girls Aloud who’s been following their journey since their inception, I must say it was heartwarming to see them pay tribute to Sarah Harding during The Girls Aloud Show tour. Being a part of such an iconic group requires an immense amount of energy and resilience, which Nadine Coyle demonstrated when she had to pull out due to exhaustion.
On Saturday, Girls Aloud delivered an extraordinary, attention-grabbing performance during the Brighton Pride event, leaving everyone captivated by their stunning appearance.
The group made up of Nadine Coyle, Cheryl, Kimberley Walsh, and Nicola Roberts donned stunning gold ensembles as they captivated the audience with their popular tunes during their performance on stage.
On the first day of the much-loved event held in Preston Park, the main act took center stage, and on the final day, chart-leading artist Mika will wrap up the shows.
The makers of “The Love Machine” thrilled their audience with an outstanding performance featuring songs such as “Watch Me Go,” and they were also accompanied by Eurovision sensation Olly Alexander for a duet of “The Loving Kind.”
The performance also included a cover of Madonna’s smash hit tune Material Girl.
Enthusiasts flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, to acclaim the exceptional main performer. They labeled their performance as “surreal” and “truly extraordinary.”
At last, I caught Girls Aloud performing live at Brighton Pride. They were simply extraordinary – utterly fabulous! #BrightonPride #Fabulosa
‘Wow Girls Aloud were so so so good at #BrightonPride.’
‘Knew they were performing with Olly! Absolute given #girlsaloud #brightonpride.’
“I’m still in awe that I saw ‘Watch Me Go’ live!!! Many thanks, Girls Aloud, for an unforgettable evening! #BrightonPride #Fabuloso #girlsaloud”
“I’ll still be amazed and thrilled beyond words when I think about seeing Cheryl perform her legendary rap from ‘Watch Me Go’ live on stage again in 2024. #GirlsAloud #BrightonPride”
‘As if they covered material girl #BrightonPride #GirlsAloud.’
Following the conclusion of their 20th anniversary reunion tour last month, the Pride show will take place next, having been scheduled after the girl group’s special O2 Priority performance in London that wrapped up their tour.
From mid-May through late June, the girl band played concerts in England, Scotland, Ireland, and Northern Ireland, a grand total of 30 shows.
Last month, Nadine was forced to pull out of a festival due to ‘exhaustion’ after their nationwide stint.
She was scheduled to take the stage at the Kubix Festival in Sunderland alongside acts such as Busted, Basshunter, and Cascada.
However, in a joint Instagram and Facebook post, Rubix announced a schedule change.
Sadly, Nadine Coyle can’t perform at Kubix anymore because she’s too tired. We wish her well and look forward to welcoming her back to a future festival!
In an absolute thrill, let me share some exciting news with fellow enthusiasts! Guess who’s stepping into the spotlight to fill it? None other than the legendary ’90s boyband, Damage – the very group that took our hearts captive with their 1996 smash hit “Forever”! Oh, the nostalgia! This is a dream come true for me as an ardent fan!
During their first tour without Sarah Harding, known as The Girls Aloud Show tour, they honored her memory at each performance.
Girls Aloud incorporated imagery and even vocals of Sarah into the performances of their hit songs.
In the blockbuster hit “The Promise” from 2008, a memorable feature was Sarah’s well-known pedestrian bridge, affectionately known as ‘walking Primrose’.
It was particularly heartfelt when the group played in Manchester, Sarah’s hometown, with Sarah’s mom, Marie, present.
A year before she passed away at the age of 39, Sarah disclosed that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer, a tragedy that unfortunately metastasized to other areas in her body.
In the final months prior, Sarah resided with Cheryl and their mutual child, Bear (who is also shared with Liam Payne).
After Sarah passed away, Nadine, Cheryl, Kimberley, and Nicola chose to honor her final desire by embarking on a tour together to celebrate her life.
All proceeds generated by the fully booked The Girls Aloud Show were given to The Sarah Harding Breast Cancer Appeal, an initiative that has significantly contributed to fundraising efforts for breast cancer research.
