Giovanni Pernice’s dance partner breaks her silence as professional dancer begins training on Italian version of Strictly amid BBC misconduct investigation
As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I must say that watching the dance world is always an exciting journey. The recent pairing of Giovanni Pernice with Bianca Guaccero on the Italian version of Strictly Come Dancing has certainly stirred up quite the buzz.
On the Italian adaptation of Strictly Come Dancing, Giovanni Pernice’s latest dance partner has finally spoken up regarding the controversy surrounding her partnering a professional dancer embroiled in scandal.
43-year-old television host and singer Bianca Guaccero has been teamed up with an Italian dancer for his initial significant dance competition series since he left Strictly in May due to accusations of bullying and inappropriate behavior.
Last week, Giovanni, aged 34, expressed his enthusiasm about returning to the studio with his latest collaborator. He stated confidently that Bianca is prepared to deliver her top-notch work, further declaring defiantly: ‘Prepared to help you enjoy yourself and dream big.’
Currently, Bianca has publicly addressed her partnership with the Italian contender who recently left Strictly in a contentious manner. Fortunately for Giovanni, she seems unfazed by his dismissal.
Discussing our upcoming dance on ‘Ballando con le Stelle’ next week, Bianca shared that she believes the Tango would be an excellent choice for both her and Giovanni.
To me, Tango symbolizes my emotions towards life, love, and connections. It resonates deeply within me, and I aspire to perform it exceptionally well alongside my remarkable partner, Giovanni Pernice.
Additionally, Bianca disclosed that she’s been receiving tremendous encouragement from Giovanni’s UK fans, who are rooting for her victory in the competition.
She added: ‘I want to say thank you to Giovanni’s fans – you are a lot of people – and I want to say thank you also for all your love that you are showing to me in these days.
‘It’s incredible and so I want to show you my gratitude for all these feelings that are around me in this moment and I hope to visit you very, very soon in London, maybe with Giovanni or with my best friends.’
Giovanni is currently single after splitting with former Love Island star Molly Brown in July.
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but ponder if the charming charmer, who has previously been linked with dance partner Georgia May Foote and fellow Strictly star Ashley Roberts, might find himself drawn to Bianca as well. This intriguing possibility arises since she openly shared in an interview that she is currently single too.
Back in 2007, Bianca parted ways with her director husband, Dario Acocella, who is the father of their daughter, Alice, following four years of matrimony.
She shared about her current relationship status, stating, “Following my divorce from Dario, I’ve been in a few other relationships, but I’m currently unattached.
She also hinted her ‘explosive’ nature may have played a part in the breakup.
In a twist that only true fans could understand, let me tell you – she and he, despite our stark contrasts, were like night and day. I was passionate to the point of explosion, while he was as disciplined as they come. Yet, in a way that can’t be put into words, we had an undeniable love for each other.
In simpler terms, after Amanda Abbington, Giovanni’s dancing partner on Strictly in 2023, claimed that Giovanni’s teaching style was unnecessarily harsh, abusive, cruel, and mean, Giovanni has been working hard to protect his career, a claim he strongly denies.
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but share this turn of events. Initially, he faced a suspension when the BBC initiated an investigation into accusations made by Amanda and two other past celebrity companions, but come May, he chose to step down from his role after a nine-year stint on the show.
In July, the dance show Strictly dismissed Giovanni’s colleague, Graziano Di Prima, following an extensive probe into the conduct of the dancers led by the show’s management.
He was axed for ‘gross misconduct’ after footage of his treatment of Zara McDermott was brought to the attention of the BBC.
Leaders have implemented revised safe conduct guidelines, ensuring there’s a supervisor on hand during every rehearsal.
Discussing the enhancement of the reputation of the BBC One juggernaut, which marks its 20th anniversary this year, director general Tim Davie commented: “Many individuals, whether professionals, contestants, or staff members, have contributed to it over the years, and they’ve all had a fantastic journey.
If anyone believes there may have been an issue, or wishes to discuss their experience, feel free to bring it up with us at any time.
‘Be in no doubt we will take it seriously, listen and deal with it as appropriate.’
