As a passionate fan of Giovanni Pernice, it’s heartbreaking to witness his current predicament. The man who brought such joy and passion to the Strictly ballroom is now stuck in a frustrating limbo, unable to move on with his career due to unfounded accusations.

Previously a contestant on the BBC dance show, he had aspired to illuminate the Strictly ballroom in Italy following his departure, which was prompted by issues with his partner, Amanda Abbington.

However, The Mail on Sunday discloses that Giovanni Pernice has been informed by the Italian program’s management that they are unable to secure his participation in this year’s edition due to an ongoing investigation that began four months ago, as he has not been cleared of allegations yet.

For some time now, Mr. Pernice, aged 33, has been in discussions with the heads of Dancing with the Stars, and they have expressed great excitement about the possibility of him becoming one of their professional dancers.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m deeply disappointed that I can’t go forward with the offer, valued at approximately £100,000, for the talented Italian dancer. Regrettably, the BBC has not yet given him a clean bill of health following the internal investigation into allegations of bullying against him during rehearsals, as per Ms Abbington’s claims.

It’s looking doubtful that Mr. Pernice will join the cast of ITV’s reality series I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, as he has apparently turned down an offer worth approximately £250,000.

The channel had hoped to make the most of his popularity with BBC viewers.

It seems highly probable that Mr. Pernice might file a lawsuit against the Corporation, as he believes they neglected their responsibility to ensure contestants’ mental health by not conducting any psychological assessments. He is reportedly extremely upset that the BBC has kept him waiting for such an extended period.

According to a source, Gio was ecstatic about the prospect of continuing to dance, and what added even more charm to this was that it would take place in his native country. (The Mail on Sunday: ‘Gio was so thrilled that he planned to keep dancing, and what made it even sweeter was that it would occur in his homeland.’)

However, with the deadline rapidly approaching, the management of Ballando found themselves growing increasingly impatient, unable to endure further delay from the BBC’s decision. They share in Gio’s disappointment just as deeply.

Gio’s situation is truly dreadful. He finds himself trapped in a state of inactivity, unable to advance or make progress in his life.

He’s got numerous opportunities at hand, yet until the BBC clears his name, he can’t proceed further. It’s baffling to everyone as to why it’s taking so much time.

He’s rapidly spending more money than he’s earning. Weeks have passed since he received Amanda’s allegations, yet no evidence has surfaced to support his claim that he is not a bully, as he continues to maintain.

In this situation, it’s quite evident that he has a strong argument against the BBC. By not performing even fundamental background checks before placing him in a room with a woman, they may have unintentionally put him in a predicament where his professional reputation could be tarnished and his income source may be severed.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: ‘Regrettably, the allegations made by Amanda have led me, Gio, to step away from Strictly Come Dancing. This unwanted turn of events has unfortunately hindered my ability to forge ahead and find new opportunities.’

Ballando con le Stelle debuted in 2005, a year following the commencement of Strictly in the United Kingdom, and it’s filmed within a grand 19th-century theater, specifically at the RAI Auditorium situated within the Foro Italico in Rome.

In April, Mr. Pernice enlisted the services of the legal firm Schillings, following Ms. Abbington’s submission of an official complaint to the BBC.

A source stated: ‘He undoubtedly has the setup ready if he chooses to file a lawsuit, and at this point, it’s highly probable that he will.’
