As a long-time fan of Strictly Come Dancing and someone who has spent countless hours watching professional dancers like Giovanni Pernice grace the ballroom floor, I find myself deeply concerned about the recent allegations of misconduct within the show. Having worked in entertainment for many years, I understand the importance of creating a supportive and respectful environment, especially when dealing with such talented individuals.

On Saturday, Giovanni Pernice couldn’t hide his joy as he struck playful poses alongside his dance partner following the start of rehearsals for the Italian equivalent of Strictly Come Dancing.

It was recently revealed that the Italian professional dancer, 34, had signed up to Ballando con le Stelle after leaving the UK show amid bullying claims made by former dance partner Amanda Abbington.

Although the BBC hasn’t disclosed the findings of their probe regarding the actress’ allegations, Giovanni has remained active in his profession, participating in an Italian dance program alongside the spouse of former Strictly Come Dancing star Graziano Di Prima who is currently under scrutiny.

On weekends, Giovanni shared playful Instagram photos with Italian actress and singer Bianca Guaccero, who is 43 years old. This occurred only a few hours before the major premiere of the UK show.

Giovanni looked relaxed in a black t-shirt, contrasting with Bianca, who donned a vibrant purple vest. They both showcased their friendship by standing closely together in the photographs.

In a nutshell, they titled their post: “Perspiring yet… content, abundant, eager to offer their all and prepared to create joy and inspire dreams!

‘September 28 is getting closer. Are you ready to support us?’

In the comments, many fans noted that they will be supporting the couple, with some saying that they’ll ‘miss’ him on the UK version.

This year, marked by numerous controversies, has left a slightly blemished impression on the 20th anniversary season of Strictly, as it found itself entangled in a scandal involving the BBC.

Everything started back in October, when actress Amanda Abbington suddenly left the show. Later, she alleged that her partner, Giovanni Pernice, had been abusive towards her.

Actress who portrayed Sherlock Holmes’s partner has levied a sequence of allegations concerning Giovanni’s educational techniques, characterizing them as ‘uncalled-for, abusive, harsh, and malicious.’ However, he vehemently refutes each and every one of these assertions.

33-year-old Giovanni is currently on leave, as an investigation by the BBC is ongoing regarding accusations from Amanda and two other ex-celebrity companions.

He has vehemently denied the claims.

Amanda appears to be disheartened by BBC officials, as she allegedly worries they may be shielding the dancer during the ongoing investigation into his alleged bullying behavior, with the report on his misconduct expected soon.

High-ranking discussions are taking place within the BBC management, as they grapple with the best way to present their results, mindful that either Amanda or Giovanni might take legal action if they’re dissatisfied with the conclusion.

Ever since the departure of Giovanni, my beloved show has been swept up in another storm of controversy. In July, Graziano Di Prima was let go following allegations that he had behaved unacceptably towards Love Island star Zara McDermott, which some have referred to as a ‘kicking’ incident. As a dedicated fan, it’s heartbreaking to see the show I adore facing such challenges.

Zara explained that she didn’t report the incidents at the time as she was ‘scared’ of backlash.

During the ongoing investigation into professional dancer Giovanni, it was actually the junior production team members who stepped forward to disclose what they had observed.

During an interview, Amanda described the dance competition as similar to a battlefield, expressing to Channel 4 News that BBC producers were shocked by footage that also reportedly showed inappropriate, humiliating behavior of a sexual nature.

In a different instance, during her conversation with Christine Lampard on the Lorraine show, she expressed that it was out of line, it was hurtful, it was cruel, it was intimidating, and she endured it for approximately five to six weeks.

The beginning was quite swift, and as events unfolded, I would become unusually quiet due to the recognition of warning signs that reminded me of past experiences.

Consequently, it would become inaccessible, making entry challenging. This situation would essentially create itself as true.” (Alternatively, “In this case, it would lock up, becoming hard to access, which would make it a self-validating prediction.”)

In regards to her show schedule, she mentioned that she frequents the rehearsal room daily. She has spent a total of 32 years within those rehearsal spaces.

‘I know what rehearsal rooms are supposed to be like.

‘I don’t care what background you’re from – whether it’s dancing, acting, singing – you have a duty of care to bring into that rehearsal room compassion, understanding, sensitivity and kindness.

Apart from confessing her performance-related sickness, the actress also acknowledged that she felt queasy following their rehearsals with Giovanni, a beloved figure on Strictly Come Dancing who had been a part of the show for eight years before being suspended.

As a devoted fan following the developments closely, I’m thrilled to confirm that Giovanni has indeed decided to be part of the cast for the Italian adaptation of Strictly Come Dancing, amidst the recent discussions about his departure from other projects.

According to a source, Gio was overjoyed because he had been eagerly waiting for this event, and he kept his fingers crossed in hope.

His excitement is overflowing, allowing him to dance continuously, and what adds charm to the situation is that this performance will take place in his homeland.

The approaching deadline had put things on hold at the BBC, but results were yet to be announced. However, the management of Dancing With the Stars (Ballando) have expressed their fondness for him, even professing admiration, and they’ve now officially signed him.

It’s truly unfortunate for Gio, as he finds himself in a state of stagnation, struggling to progress with his life. A positive change or development would undoubtedly bring him great relief and help him take steps forward.

Ballando con le Stelle debuted in 2005, a year following the commencement of Strictly in the UK. This show is filmed within a stunning 19th-century theater located at the RAI Auditorium inside the Foro Italico in Rome.
